Nope you want another discussion on what constitutes a religion start another thread. You have tried many times and convinced no one.
it most certainly is because you claimed "atheism isn't a religion", unless of course you don't have a definition for religion. So define religion or concede that you don't know what it is and that you're arguing that atheism is not a religion without even knowing what the definition of religion is since you can't tell us.
Not true of course. unicorns do not exist. Ghosts do not exist, faeries do not exist. Leprechauns do not exist. The Flying Spaghetti monster does not exist. The understanding that all those do not exist is a fact not a belief. And knowing they don’t exist isn’t a religion either.
But I proved to everyone you that unicorns most certainly did exist, therefore it's delusional to say they did not exist. but that don't matter I accept your concession that you don't know what a religion is and are going to continue arguing about it anyway
so you're the world spokesman? It's not possible to convince political zealots in denial. I'm still waiting for that definition of religion since you claim atheism is not a religion after I proven that it is.
No you. Proved nothing except your own desperate attempts at fooling yourself into thinking anything with one horn was a unicorn. But if your need to delude yourself is so great now prove that ghosts, and faeries, and the Flying Spaghetti Monster exist. Or you can try any other imaginary creation of man you want to choose. I can find as many as you need.
Now belief in god is political? And no you didn’t prove athiesm is a religion unless you are so self deluded that you think that .001 percent of atheists attending social gatherings proves that atheists have a church.
Things are a bit more complex than that, me thinks. While atheism in itself is not a belief - psychologists use the term "nonbelief"- it certainly constitutes the starting point for a number of beliefs, like "gods do not exist", or "prayers don't help". I'd say that the nonbelief is the thing held in the mind, not the beliefs contingent on it. Claim of lack of sufficient evidence either way is an uncertainty, not a belief.
This is an intentional lie, as I’ve made it crystal clear that my position is that I lack belief in a god or gods. Which is by definition, not a religion or a belief.
"The Flying Spaghetti monster does not exist". Oh well, you've never been in my kitchen while I cook I'd say that the understanding that all those do not exist is the lack of belief itself. I find it irritating, cognitively dissonant, frustrating and fascinating that religious people can't understand the very simple process of disbelieving, even though religious people themselves have disbelieved so many of the previous religions and myths throughout the course of history - your examples included.
when you publicly claim it's not a religion it is! lol So where is your definition of religion? How do you know what I proved about religion when you cant even tell us what religion is? hilarious! .001%? Now you are making **** up, unless of course you have a poll to cite for us, and I know you don't Atheist 'mega-churches' undermine what atheism's supposed to be about godless church wants to establish more US congregations. These 'places of worship' come across as a joke I would have thought the message of atheism (if there needs to be one) is that churches and ritualized worship (whatever the focus of that worship might be) are best left to the people who feel the need to have a God figure in their lives. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/nov/15/atheism-contrary-to-mega-churches Thats a hell of a lot atheists practicing their religion worshiping the ZERO! Looks like 90% to me!
The problem is it is about your belief there is no God. It has nothing to do with non-belief that is a cop out
As I have clearly said numerous times that I do not believe there are no gods, but I lack belief in a god or gods, your statement is an intentional lie.
you are lying about my position. [QYOTE]You have shown you believe there is no God[/QUOTE] That is a lie. I’ve clearly said a hundred times now that I lack belief in a god or gods.
