Guess that depends on who you define as asshats. People calling Trump Hitler and a white supremacist would be asshats, which includes public officials by the way. And advertisers wouldn't be “afraid” of supporting said internet company if there weren’t Leftist organizations and politicians bent on destroying the advertisers that dared to support those they don’t like. Quite a lot of damage can be done when it’s organized like Media Matters with a horde of Twitter minions who can say nearly anything they want without any chance of censorship.

People like you just can’t wrap their heads around what the consequences are when nearly every news organization and Democrat politician starts calling you racist or a white supremacist or terrorist. When there is such a mass agreement in what is wrong speak, there in lies the issue of a monopoly on speech and what constitutes “free”. It’s no longer free when dirt bag politicians and news organizations start claiming that anyone who voted for Trump is by association a murderer, because of just a small group. Just imagine if everyone who supports BLM is instantly responsible for the deaths and billions of dollars they have caused? Doesn’t matter if it’s only a relative fraction of the total BLM protesters. ALL are responsible for the few in Leftist land now.

The danger of that sort of speech and labels is exactly what started Jews in Germany on their way to gas chambers. And the populace just went along with it, some quietly and others to thunderous applause. It’s exactly what some Democrat politicians are doing now, trying to remove parting the population from the rest of society. First remove their ability to speak on social media. Doing it now! Then remove news sources they don’t approve of. Democrat politicians are currently pushing to remove Fox and OAN from cable networks.

That isn't true. Social media companies restricting user access based on their terms of service has absolutely nothing to do with the First Amendment. There are ongoing political debates about whether it should (though only in the US of course) but it doesn't at the moment. It's no different to nightclubs having dress codes or a restaurant kicking out a loud and disruptive group.

The actions of the bakeries refusing equal service to same-sex couples isn't directly related to the First Amendment either. That was only brought in because the owners presented religious freedom as a defence but various court rulings have fairly consistently concluded that such freedoms are not unconditional and don't allow for a special exemption from public accommodation anti-discrimination laws.

If I am on Facebook and have my own page and if Facebook is using my data then my page is not theirs. If they do not like what I post on MY PAGE then they can kick me off but I want all my data and any money they made from it returned.

What a bunch of bullshit ... Is Twitter, Facebook and all the other social networks in any form a public space? The answer is clearly NO! So when using this media, the terms of use with which you agree when registering also apply. If you do not like these user regulations, everyone has the right to decide not to register and not to use these platforms.

This forum is also such a social platform ... and here, too, there are rules that contradict your denounced right to the 1st addition! Either you accept the rules of the forum or you are free not to use this forum. And if you break the rules, then the same thing happens to you as Trump on Twitter ultimately ... up to and including "you are fired" if the management of the forum deems it appropriate! FB targets the ads so you don't see things that aren't relevant to you. A 60-year old man doesn't need to see about the coolest new diaper. Advertisers make money by targeting their ad based on what you might buy.

If you don't like the cost of using FB, here's an idea - don't use FB.
