Moreover, as a taxpayer, I am deeply concerned about the exorbitant costs associated with providing multiple abortions to individuals who repeatedly seek this procedure.

It only took your second post to belie the more rational almost empathetic facade that was facing us in the OP. It only took a single declarative sentence in post #2 before all those 'serials' ended up moot and we read phrases like 'massacre of babies'. Your issue is not with serial abortion. Its with abortion. You don't care who's abortion, or why the need for an abortion. There is no nuance here. Just the pretense of nuance.

I actually want to give the OP some credit for his honesty. He makes his contempt for women clear from the start. No varnish, no pretence that women have rights that should be respected, just straight out hate. This is about controlling women. Others deny or dance around it, he just goes straight to the truth. Disgusting, but truthful.

We allow farmers to violently murder cows, pigs, turkeys, chickens, and others. And I'm glad, they are all delicious. But my point is, there's no difference between a cow and a cat that matters to the question of whether their life should be protected. Humans, at least in this country, have arbitrarily decided that cats and dogs are cute and shouldn't be killed, but cows and pigs are tasty and it's fine to raise them specifically to shoot or knock them in the head to kill and butcher them for their meat.

Again, nothing wrong with the latter but the whole thing is purely subjective. Human beings decide what can and can not be killed purely on whims. It's worked this way since the start. Even the religions we've dreamed up have subjective loopholes for when it's okay to kill. I mean, of course they do, they were made by humans.

However, your suggestions at the end of the OP are all good ones. They could easily help cut down on the number of abortions that need to be performed. I'm all in favor of it, as long as it doesn't come with a prohibition on abortion.

 

It’s interesting that your opening post seems to acknowledge that there are a number of social and economic factors that result in abortion, but then you go on to call women who get abortions whores. While I agree with your policy prescriptions, though they could go further, your intent seems to be the usual for republicans which is punish women. That’s a shame. Almost set the stage for a productive conversation.
