Not too long ago, I came across a trend on the internet that was titled, The Sandy Hook Hoax. Of course there was nothing there but conspiracy theory tripe. The reason that this type of crap gets followers is because the government attempts to hide certain facts. This is especially true when the facts are being hidden to support an agenda. This was true with the Truthers, the Birthers, and now with the Sandy Hook Truthers. How many times have you heard the mantra, we have to ban Assault Weapons like the one used at the Sandy Hook Shooting? We hear it every day from the Liberal media and politicians, but there are a couple of things that they are hiding from you. The first is that the Assault Weapons Ban that expired in 2004 would not have banned the rifle that the Liberals want you to believe was used at the Sandy Hook shooting. The second fact is that no rifle was actually used. This was confirmed by both the police and the Coroner. There was an Bushmaster AR15 Semi-automatic recovered from the scene. But it was found in the trunk of the suspect mother's car. It was not used in the assault. Additionally, because this rifle was a semi-automatic, it would not have been banned under the previous ban. So, there is no justification for an Assault Weapons Ban. It is an easy rule. Would you be as opposed to "assault weapons" with the vigor you are showing in this sub forum if no mention of an assault weapon was made in the Sandy Hook slaughter? Would you be calling for a handgun ban if only handguns were used in the Sandy Hook slaughter? If the government/news is hiding information very specific to this shooting that contradicts everything that you have been told about this shooting, would you be more upset, less upset, or just the same towards the government/news? I ask these questions because actually being able to get the truth seems to he hard from the MSM and no one else is talking. We as citizens are trying to make decisions and are forming opinions about things that will effect millions of people now and in the future. Without proper facts, we cannot form a justifiable opinion based on facts concerning how our country operates. ETA: I have you confused with someone else. The questions still stand for any person wanting a specific gun type gun ban.
There is a difference between "Assault Weapons" vs "Assault "Style" Weapons" We don't need more laws or more bans. No matter what laws or bans are in place, we can not control the human mind and the thought process. All I was trying to say was: If Pete Williams reported some thing that was wrong, why wasn't there a report from him correcting that report? If it is the truth, report the truth. If it is not truth, don't report it as truth.
