That’s a perculiar comparison. For one thing, many of the so called casualties are a direct result of the Trump administration’s ineptitude. Funny, when it’s your guy, it’s just .“casualties of war.” When it’s the left, “oh the humanity.” Ha ha....you guys were apoplectic when 4 Americans were killed at Benghazzi, whaaaaa. But 135, 000 ? “We can live with that” for the good of the economy. Letting 135,000 people die will do nothing for the economy,

    Wrong.

Trump has been the very positive regarding existing medicines and possible new ones. Your BS revisionist history will not fly in 2020 when everything is on the internet preserved for ever. Your lies grow.....

They are not a direct result of the Trump administration, what BS.

4 American killed, that is a lot different than Americans dying of a disease. Holy Hell look at the riots going on today over a single killing. How can you not see the difference?

And opening the economy, wait for it....will be good for the economy. Keeping it closed will harm it more. It's not even in debate by anyone other than you.

What a train wreck your replies are.

Fauci, one of the most renowned immunologist in the entire world, is a whipping boy of the right.....he makes Trump look like an imbecile whenever they have a briefing.

Not when right wants to compare a disease to war time. That’s the right’s response. Read The posts.

    What ???
Why do you call it being positive when he lies about a malaria drug and pretends he’s a an expert when he just makes sht up.
Gee, Obama was just being positive when he said...” you can keep your doctor.”
I’ve made nothing up. Trump is a fraud, grifter and con artist who lies continuously....

No 4 people killed is sad and might have been avoidable but then how many of the 100,000 deaths were avoidable if Trump had gotten off his fat lazy arse and put in place the correct responses?

Look up the difference between mistaken and lied.

I have no ideal if Obama was lying or mistaken when he said that. Perhaps it was true when he said it then changed.

That has nothing to do with Trump though does it?

I've not seen a single post on here being negative about a possible medical resolution from anybody but a Trump basher. They were actively rooting on here for the test to fail and gleeful when they did.

If you want to call 18,000 lies, mistakes, go for it. Anyone who makes that many mistakes ( lies) is a rediculous excuse for a president. If I could say anything positive about Trump, why should I. He brags about himself being rich and smart, all the time. Where are his grades and his tax returns. Talk is cheap. Trump is cheaper.

What a crapload of conjecture. You can not even remotely prove a bit of that.

The only fat lazy ass I have seen from a leadership position during this was Pelosi hiding at home eat ice cream. Ice cream no doubt bought from a store by one of her minions, ice creams delivered to said store, stocked in the freezer at said store and rung up by a cashier at said store. That by my count involves 4 "essential" people exposed to this deadly virus! so Nany could chow down. Good thing she is not a essential worker....oh wait she is in congress...during a national emergency....perhaps she should have been at work like those grocery store folks....or Trump...

The left, they can fertilize a field in Iowa by just walking across it...

    No.

A person killed by a disease if not remotely the same as one killed by a person.

And I did not bring it up.

Trump has touted a drug that was only ever an outside possibility. He based this not on Fauci or anyone else who had overviewed the research but on a recommendation from Jared who asked a relative who was married to a doctor who had asked some friends on Facebook. Famously he stated “What have you got to lose?” About a drug with known serious side effects

This virus is not a war, it is a ridiculous analogy. One made by the weak knee left originally.

That drug has been in use for decades, and still is. Stop with the side effect garbage as almost all drugs have them.

And none of that sounds like a lie, sounds exactly like a mistake...

    Wrong.

Would we have riots right now had he dropped dead of a stroke? Hit by car? Fell off a bridge? Of course not.

Circumstance of death matters greatly. It is why we have criminals trials.

I have no desire to exchange comments with at the other lefty as you two post just silly things like this.

    Enjoy your night.

Not quite.....if one intentionally disregards proper protocol to protect the vulnerable when one visiting a nursing home with an aid who tested positive, I’d say that was criminal negligence. That could be a crime.

A person killed by a disease is just as dead as one killed by a person, especially when the disease is PRIMARILY transmitted from one person to another..Infected people have an obligation not to spread their disease intentionally. In many states, it can be a crime. So yes. Both civilly and criminally,

    Dead is dead

And a respectable percentage of the US deaths were avoidable

Too bad they don't know we can mothball those parts of the economy we can do without for as long as we must to protect people and not have a depression.

In WW2, we put 17m men in the armed forces, their services lost to the economy (just like idle workers now). Then we took a lot of what we could produce with them gone and made 300,000 planes, 50 aircraft carriers, thousands of ships, tanks, and fought a war on two fronts (like limited production now). Everyone ate. We kept rationing after the war was over because everyone who wanted to cash in their war bonds and get on their lives couldn't all buy everything they wanted at once.

We don't have to have a depression with 25% unemployment and limited output. Fatso and Prune Face Mitch are screwing up the economy. They're well on the way to causing a depression because they don't know what they're doing.
We damn near had a catastrophe in NYC and might have had one if there hadn't been a stay-at-home order.

Individuals will slow the process by hiding out without your help and it will take months to get to herd immunity, if it's even possible, because we don't know how long immunity lasts.
The squashed curve doesn't need to have the same numbers under it. Besides, your v-shape may not lead to herd immunity because herd immunity may not be possible.
Maybe we go with the squashed curve indefinitely, especially if we find natural immunity is weak or short-lived as it is with other corona viruses.
    Okay.
But your strategy depends upon long lasting natural immunity, something untrue for many corona viruses. We also don't know how much damage it's doing to people who have survived it.

Then there's the economy--we can hold on for now while we look for treatments, a cure, or a vaccine. Any of those might save millions of lives.
A cure might be better than a vaccine and might be easier to develop.
Seems to me you're looking for an excuse to let the virus tear through society. We can lower restrictions in safer communities.
