Water vapor is by far the dominant greenhouse gas, at ~15,000 parts per million. (1.5%)

The Scary Graph (Keeling Curve) is an intentionally misleading piece of pseudoscience that is supposed to frighten everyone into drastic, expensive action.

    View attachment 44757

    It is misleading pseudoscience because:
    1. It does not have a zero base, which grossly distorts the slope upward,
    2. It does not include the primary greenhouse gas, water vapor, and
    3. It fails to reflect the natural origins of about 97% of carbon dioxide increases.
    http://www.eia.gov/oiaf/1605/archive/gg04rpt/pdf/tbl3.pdf

Humans now require about 22 years to add 1 part per MILLION of carbon dioxide to the greenhouse gas base of 15,500 parts per million.

You global warming hypocrites can all sell your cars, live in misery, and take no vacations ever again. I'm going to ignore your shrill screams for what they are, ignorance and fear.

Your *leaders* continue preaching to all their sycophants even as they fly and drive around the world to pat each other on the backs and continue their delusional rants.

These environmental hypocrites fly around the world, day in and day out, ordering everyone else to reduce carbon emissions. Here is a link to scores if not hundreds of their upcoming travel diaries:

    http://www.conferencealerts.com/environment.htm

Why don't they videoconference? And practice what they preach? (Crickets chirping)

I made the Mojave. Been hauling sand from the southern California beaches for four years now. Also been parting the clouds so's it don't rain.
Got some buddies in Timbouctou who been workin' on the Sahara for a few years now. You know where Timbouctou is dontcha?
As in "From here to Timbouctou!"

Jes wanted to make some fun of how silly *progressives* (sic) are. They think they're all SO INTELLIGENT, and everybody else deigning to disagree with their politically correct blather is terminally stupid. This explains why America is currently tanking, as shown by Jay Leno interviewing people on the street, and Obama playing golf while the world descends further into chaos.

Now please this video on communists' support of the wealth transfer now taking place under the cover of "global warming":

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNQqUACJ_Kw

“Future generations will wonder in bemused amazement that the early 21st century’s developed world went into hysterical panic over a globally averaged temperature increase of a few tenths of a degree, and, on the basis of gross exaggerations of highly uncertain computer projections combined into implausible chains of inference, proceeded to contemplate a roll-back of the industrial age”. - Professor Richard Lindzen, Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Meteorology, Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences, Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Nearly a third of the worlds farmland has been abandoned. So the growth of most of the existing deserts are caused by man. So it would include most deserts. Most deserts have been growing and displacing native peoples.

Where are these abandoned farmlands ?? Are all these abandoned farmlands adjacent to existing deserts ??

What is the source for your claim ??

Word games played by Leftist, "politicalcenter" (sic):

    1. You are very far left of the political center.
    2. AFM asked you what deserts have humans "created"?
You mealymouthed an answer about the "growth of existing deserts" from abandoned farmland.
"Growth" is not "creating." Try using science combined with common sense and honesty in the future.
    And.... change your name.
    3. As to deserts "displacing native peoples," you do know that deserts throughout the world are homes to native people, don't you?
Do camels and oases sound like familiar terms? How about the nomads of the Gobi?

you need to watch that again. what is the temperature difference when they completely load the one box with full CO2. What is the percentage of CO2, oh yeah, read the amount on the meter at 1:36 of the video, it shows 7351% CO2. holy cow, that's a lot of CO2.So basically there is no oxygen in the box any longer. It's pure CO2. And what was the temperature on the thermometer? Oh yeah one degree. Now I don't believe it was that high. but what can one do. I have other experiments that show CO2 cooling.

and you can look up debunk the greenhouse effect. Question, when the sun's rays hit the atmosphere isn't it the entire light spectrum? So wouldn't there be IR waves for the CO2 to absorb as the rays come in? I'm asking if you understand that or not.

Hey, one other thing, why is it nights are cold in the desert?

dude, plants release oxygen. Gawd at least know that before you start talking about CO2. Plants use CO2 they absorb it use it through photosynthesis. holy moly, I guess you stay on here long enough you see it all. Wow.

You are a very bright individual. I never knew plants gave off oxygen. How stupid of me. I guess I am just overmatched. I also never ever knew deserts were hot during the day and cold at night. Some posters here are overflowing with knowledge and no match for me.

Do you know what causes deserts? They have been around a long time. Longer than the industrial age.

Many things cause deserts and are beyond the control of man. A desert could be caused because it is on the wrong side of the mountain or in a band between 30 degrees north and 30 degrees south. Deserts can also be caused by man because of poor or no land management. The man made deserts and the growth of existing deserts is what concerns me. Dry land areas need plant cover and grazing management. There are many examples of desert and forest regeneration and I am not going to waste my time providing links. If you are interested you can look them up yourself. I will not waste my time so you can move the goalposts.

So then you have no examples of man made deserts.

Just go to any shoreline city in the U.S. especially those on the East Coast.

In Boston right where Nathaniel Hall is behind it is where large ships come in to have dinner harbor tours.

The sea level has increased so quickly that they have to rebuild the docks and the waterfront buildings seawalls as they are going underwater.

Does the fact that no tide gauge shows any acceleration make you think? Does the fact that the only way you show acceleration is by tacking on a different record onto tide gauges give you pause? It should.

Robert....I know more about this than you could imagine.

The U.S. Military is running Computer War Game Scenario's 24/7 365 days a year as they are aware that rising sea levels due to Global Warming will cause the forced migration and evacuation of 100's of Millions of people especially those on the India/Bangladesh coastline where 100's of Millions of people are currently living on floating docks where shoreline once existed.

OK.....I guess I am going to have to help educate you.

This is not a knock on you as not many people are aware of what I will now show you.

    Milankovitch cycles.

Describing the collective effects of changes in the Earth's movements upon its climate, named after Serbian geophysicist and astronomer Milutin Milanković, who in the 1920s had theorized that variations in eccentricity, axial tilt, and precession of the Earth's orbit determined climatic patterns on Earth through orbital forcing.

The Earth's axis completes one full cycle of precession approximately every 26,000 years. At the same time, the elliptical orbit rotates more slowly. The combined effect of the two precessions leads to a 21,000-year period between the astronomical seasons and the orbit. In addition, the angle between Earth's rotational axis and the normal to the plane of its orbit (obliquity) oscillates between 22.1 and 24.5 degrees on a 41,000-year cycle. It is currently 23.44 degrees and decreasing.

Similar astronomical theories had been advanced in the 19th century by Joseph Adhemar, James Croll and others, but verification was difficult due to the absence of reliably dated evidence and doubts as to exactly which periods were important. Not until the advent of deep-ocean cores and a seminal paper by Hays, Imbrie, and Shackleton, "Variations in the Earth's Orbit: Pacemaker of the Ice Ages", in Science (1976)[2] did the theory attain its present state.

Read up on this....it will explain a LOT to you.

The alarmist claim is simplistic at best. Planning is based on computer model projections not real world data.
