The Cool Down has to start somewhere.
    True?
    Could this be it?

Biggest snow, ice storm in years
    set to wallop eastern US

    Alex Sosnowski
    Mon, December 14, 2020, 8:10 AM PST

Winter storm watches and advisories have been issued across the Northeast for what is shaping up to be the most significant winter storm in several years. Even with travel being limited amid the coronavirus pandemic, the storm, which has yet to fully take shape, could potentially become highly impactful and disruptive as the first round of coronavirus vaccines continue to be shipped around the country.

AccuWeather's team of meteorologists is growing more confident that a blockbuster storm will unfold from Tuesday to Thursday and unload more than 2 feet of snow in spots, with an AccuWeather Local StormMax™ of up to 30 inches expected. The sizable storm has a wide coverage area, with snow expected to fall from southern Illinois to Atlantic Canada and target major thoroughfares including Interstate 95. .

Sounds like the early part of the movie, 2012.
Has the Atlantic Thermal Conveyor currents weakened due to
all that fresh water from polar & :flagcanada: fresh water dumping?
Normally the current is strong enough that its' warm water keeps such storms in :flagcanada: Go figure.

Remember: Snarky replies will be reported. The habituals know what snarky means.

    Hahaha brilliant.
The ice is melting to bring on the next cool down, who told it to do that.

Oh BTW we are not due another ice age for a while yet.

Ooh look winter. who'd have thought it.

And unusual weather, its almost like the climate is changing, remember all those forest fires in California, and the Nevada desert snow melting two months early. And the hottest ever recorded temperature death valley.

Consider our @Spooky wise words from the

Ultimately the planet is going to change by itself regardless of what we do.

It's kind of this thing it does.

Any belief that you can stop that is completely moronic.

"Well we can slow it down" says the left which is probably the most irresponsible thing to do. Their belief that avoiding this issue and letting a future generation worry about shows you just how self serving they actually are.

Right now we have time to get ready for the climate change that is going to happen and we should be moving cities back from the coast, building new waterways to accommodate the new floods we will have, investing in technology to create crops we use in a different environment but you never hear this from the left.

There really is no excuse for their behavior.

As humans are causing the current climate change, then its entirely feasible for humans to stop that change.
There nothing else we can blame the current changes on. No sun spot activity, no geological movements, no super volcanoes, no magnetic field reversal.

Volcano erupts on Hawaii's Big Island
HONOLULU (AP) — Kilauea volcano on Hawaii’s Big Island roared back to life Sunday night as lava went shooting into air, boiling away a water lake and sending a massive plume of steam, gas and ash soaring into the atmosphere.

the water evaporated out of the lake and a steam cloud shot up about 30,000
feet (9 kilometers) into the atmosphere

A magnitude 4.4 earthquake hit about an hour after the volcano began erupting.

A volcano erupts this December. I think you might have found the cause of climate change.

    The Cool Off
    And falling iguanas too.

Christmas in Florida: Chilly forecast, falling iguanas

. . . Because they are cold-blooded reptiles, iguanas living in South Florida trees often become immobile in chilly weather, causing them to drop to the ground when the thermometer plummets, though they are still alive. . .

They sort of look like dinosaurs too.
Maybe they were victims of a Cool Down before the great asteroid.

Tens of thousands of people living in the Caribbean are on
high alert as volcanoes come back to life
    after remaining dormant for decades
    • Residents of St. Vincent and the Grenadines have been told to be ready to evacuate after a volcano started spewing lava, ash, and gas.

    • La Soufrière is the highest point in St. Vincent and is located near the northern tip of the country but has remained dormant for decades before it suddenly became active on Tuesday, AP reported.

    • The government of the country, which consists of a chain of islands where over 100,000 people live, issued an orange alert, meaning eruptions could occur with less than 24 hours' notice.
Last month authorities from the nearby Caribbean island of Martinique issued a yellow alert due to seismic activity under Mount Pelée, the Independent reported.

Polar Vortex Could Split in Two
    Creating Harsh Winter in U.S.

According to the Washington Post, experts believe that a sudden stratospheric warming event could affect the polar vortex. If strong enough, it could weaken and force the vortex off of the North Pole, causing pieces of it to split in two and make its way south. The polar vortex is the circulation of air around low pressure that acts as a repository for some of the coldest air on the planet. If it were to travel south, it would create extremely cold winters for Northern Europe, Asia, and North America—including the United States. . .

It's the sling effect as in
    "The Day After Tomorrow" .
Finally a warming event slings "us" into
    a cool down.

    Yep, climate change.
What people don't get about global warming is climate change. Each country has developed its infrastructure/crops/dwellings/water supply/economics and even skin colour to suit its weather. So swapping that weather around across the world is not just about crop failures in Africa or small islands disappearing.
It is the cost of adapting America to its new climate. That cost is multiples of the cost of switching to green energy.

    Record-Breaking Snowstorm Hits Southern U.S.,
Leaving Thousands of Residents Without Power

A major snowstorm has hit the southern part of the United States, leaving thousands of residents without power as they cope with a record-breaking amount of snowfall.

More than 150,000 residents were in the dark on Monday following the powerful snowstorm that swept through east and northeast Texas and Louisiana, CNN reported.

It appeared Texas took the brunt of the storm, with residents in Lamesa seeing between 8-12 inches of snow, according to a tweet from the National Weather Service (NWS) Midland.. . .

A harbinger of The Great Cool Off to come.

Climate is cyclical as any climatologist can tell you. Picking a date range in which temperatures rise is no more meaningful than choosing another in which temperatures are declining.

Any climatologist will also tell you that we know what those cycles are and that they don't explain the current warming.
