We don't know what we don't know since the 1/6 committee has not been forthcoming with many of the details I assume they've learned thus far. Some of what we know is detailed here.
    http://www.politicalforum.com/index.php?threads/this-is-what-a-coup-investigation-looks-like.591516/

As for what 2022 holds in store.......

Committee investigating Jan. 6 attack plans to begin a more public phase of its work in the new year

The public business meeting earlier this month, where panel members revealed a sliver of the 9,000 documents and records provided by Meadows, was a taste of what it hopes to accomplish in hearings throughout 2022: a dramatic presentation of the behind-the-scenes maneuvering by Trump, his allies and anyone involved in the attack or the attempt to overturn the election results.

“We want to tell it from start to finish over a series of weeks, where we can bring out the best witnesses in a way that makes the most sense,” a senior committee aide said. “Our legacy piece and final product will be the select committee’s report.”

The rough timeline being discussed among senior committee staffers includes public hearings starting this winter and stretching into spring, followed by an interim report in the summer and a final report ahead of November’s elections.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...c37488-62d4-11ec-8ce3-9454d0b46d42_story.html

So the public is about to learn much more about what lead to the coup as well as what happened on the day of. One hopes they will pay attention to what the hearings reveal, being able to see through the inevitable smokescreen thrown up by Trump loyalists and right wing media. Get your popcorn ready.

The goal is the ascertainment of information. In that regard the efforts of the committee are already a spectacular success. Hopefully, more of one if they can compel the testimony of the obstructionists.

It is a rerun.... same players... same game.... second time around. If you don't succeed.... try try again... It is not their money and it keeps them from doing their job they were elected for...

Crooked Donald must be brought to justice if possible and the Trump GOP has to pay a lasting price for the cover up of sedition.

Pelosi should be brought before a court and tried for dereliction of duty and held responsible for Ashli Babbitt's death for allowing Jan 6 to happen because of lack of security.. which was her duty...

They are trying to deflect blame onto Pelosi for lack of security intimating thr violence wouldn't have happened if their were adequate officers.

They fail to understand that both sergeant of arms for the House and Senate were nominated by reoublicans.

Democrat to English- We got nothing we're damned unlikely to find anything but we will continue lie, cheat and still till the Republican tidal wave drowns us in September. Then we will all move to Brazil or some other place that has no extradition treaty with the US because we know that our own hands have been so deep in the cookie jar that we go to jail without a doubt.

They must have this information then. I just heard this a few days ago. One has to ask, why didn't the FBI insist on the National Guard be stationed at the Capital? Knowing how big the crowed was, why did the Capital Police turn down the guard? Was Trump informed by the FBI that information revels trouble was planned or discussed?

She oversees the Capitol Police and the security they provide... She called for the resignation of the head of the CP... and they needed her OK for guard to be deployed during Jan. 6.... She's definitely in charge of security.

Has Pelosi responded to the very letter that makes your claim, like usual, not true.. Congressmen who are "in the know" know SHE IS responsible for adequate security...

She might not have direct control, but if someone asked for additional police support and she did nothing, she has failed in her responsibility. Her request would carry a lot of weight.

They did call for help from the National guard. Who is in control of the national guard though? You guessed it. The president.

Sounds to me like you believe that this committee is a criminal investigation. Do you believe that to be true?

    I was stating a hypothetical.

There was a small force of National Guard on standby, but no one asked for them.

It was pointed out that the Capital Police refused the National Guard when it was offered. The FBI said they had good information of planned violence at the Capital. Did the FBI relay that concern to the Capital Police and to Trump?

The US Capitol Police refused to accept help from the FBI and National Guard before President Trump’s supporters stormed the Capitol, according to a report.

The Pentagon offered Sunday to send guardsmen to help secure the perimeter and the Justice Department offered FBI help on Wednesday as the mob arrived, according to The Associated Press. Both offers were rejected.

Instead, despite plenty of warnings of a possible insurrection and ample resources and time to prepare, the Capitol Police planned only for a free speech demonstration.

The result is the Capitol was overrun Wednesday and officers in a law enforcement agency with a large operating budget and experience in high-security events protecting lawmakers were overwhelmed for the world to see. Four protesters died including one shot inside the building.

It is their 2022 campaign. It won’t work. The only thing that will save the democrats is voter fraud.
