The only reason health insurances do exist, is the outrageous prices for health care services.

I just started watching the Ken Burns series Vietnam. Some of it seems very familiar. One Vietnamese woman they interviewed said Ho's intention was for social and economic equality, where have I heard that before? Just like Mao, he used school age kids to be his force for change and many later became the Viet Minh. There was other times when Ho's movement sounded much like our Leftists and as with other Leftist movements, force is always used to enact their plans. And like in the USSR and China, there was no resistance allowed even by fellow revolutionaries. Several times there was division within the ranks and those opposed to the wishes of the leader were killed, imprisoned or reeducated, including some Viet Minh. AOC and other radical Democrats are not socialists, they are communists and need to be dealt with as such.

Let me ask you something. Who has a higher corporate tax rate, those "socialist" countries, or the US?

If you're trying to say the US is a socialist country, it is, of course, not. It's failing socialist-type programs, which consume 2/3rds of the US budget (and have done nothing to reduce poverty), could eventually turn it in a socialist country.

At which point, of course, this country will burn to the ground like all the others.

Yes, a nation with a social safety net delivered thru various taxpayer funded services and programs. Does that smack of capitalism to you?

Nobody I know with at least half a brain advocates for government control of the means of production. That has been proven not to work every time it was tried. Then again, I suppose trickle down is proof that historic evidence can be readily ignored if inconvenient.
