Ah the draft, and nice way of saying the government is going to enslave you to fight for something you may not agree with just because you were born into a social contract. Yeah, gotta love the north in the civil war fighting the south over (slaves) while dragging every new irish off the boats and forcing them to fight and die with no say. Then if you couldnt fight, the government just took your production through income tax (slavery) to fund the war on slavery. If you want to believe the war of northern agression was really about slavery and all that is.
Unfortunately nit wits and individuals with ulterior financial motives is the one's checking and balancing. Yes I agree, and industry leaders should not be writing legislation that exclusively benefits them while detrimental to their competition, but that is the way with the two party scam.
