    Science is about accurate predictions.

2020 was the year selected by the Doomsday Cultists for any number of Climate Catastrophes, well, let's measure:

Average global temperature up 3 degrees Celsius
    [IMG]
    Oct 2, 1987 Saskatoon Star-Phoenix
1987: the Star-Phoenix in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, quoted James Hansen of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York. He confidently predicted an average temperature increase of “between one-half and one degree Celsius by the end of the ’90s.”

“And within 15 to 20 years of this, the earth will be warmer than it has been in the past 100,000 years,” Hansen said. “By the year 2020 we will experience an average temperature increase of around three degrees [Celsius], with even greater extremes.”
    His model said so.

So, what actually happened? The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) shows an increase of about 0.5 degrees Celsius from 1987.

He was only off by 600%.

The new Biden Administration will spout off a lot of crap, and hopefully not screw things up too badly.

Yup. Currently the market for energy is $6T/year and gradually growing to $8T/year by 2040, Americans will continue to invest in new energy technologies in order to serve that market. And we'll do it with or without the aid of taxpayer money.

We need to put an end to this practice of using other peoples' money to subsidize energy technologies while regulating affordable, reliable energy sources out of existence.

Here is something stupid we are in the midst of. First, there is nothing particularly clean about electric cars, they are essentially coal powered using battery technology that is horrendously difficult to cleanly dispose of, and what is solar generated is even more difficult to dispose of when those solar arrays reach their 20 year limit and have to be replaced. But, leaving all that aside, because of the presumption that US regulators will continue to push for electricity to replace gasoline, auto manufacturers are starting to look to unload assets for combustion engine manufacturing because they will soon worthless to them and if they wait too long, nobody will even take them off their hands.

Now as you drive about and look at all the gasoline stations think of all the supply chains and think about all the therms of energy that are moving through that infrastructure, that is already paid for installed, and then look at our electrical transmission grid and think about how much expansion will be required just to transfer those therms from the gasoline supply chain to the electrical supply chain. And if you are from CA you have rolling blackouts now because they exceed electrical grid capacity.

And, HVAC, the most efficient heating systems are natural gas, cheap, clean, abundant natural gas. They are well into prepping for a government forced switch from gas heating to electric, in CA, cities are already banning natural gas in new construction, instead, they will use all electric. So, whereas blackouts used to be only a summer phenomena in peak Air Conditioning season, soon it will be matched by rolling blackouts during cold snaps.

Biden will claim that he's "fixin" to do lots of amazing stuff, big roll out ceremonies will accompany the launch of "funding" and the best scenario is that they accomplish little and don't screw things up too badly.

Trump has repeatedly claimed he’s “the least racist person.” His history suggests otherwise.
Trump’s long history of racism, from the 1970s to 2020 - Vox
Trump has been known to make racist remarks here, there and everywhere. He's made racist remarks.

Do you remember what happened in Virginia when some white supremacist group called "Unite the Right"? made trouble in Charlottesville and Trump referred to them as very fine people? on both sides but calling this white supremacist group "very fine people". Do you call racists very fine people?

When Biden takes over, We'll start being down to earth and I don't know if and when things will get back to normal as before but we'll see this through somehow.

Tomorrow 2021 takes over and on the 20th Biden will be the new President and I believe it. For the record, I wish you all a Happy New Year in 2021.

Hopefully early in January we will pry the senate out of the fingers of the Grim Reaper; then we can see some real progress.

Fake News. He condemned supremacists is the same speech. His "very fine people" referred to both sides of the statue debate. It's a little sad, but more funny, how you have thoughtlessly turned your brain over to rather lame brained Fake News propagandists rather than double checking what they tell you.

    Thanks for the laugh!

The same neglected ones that Trump inherited from Obama/BIDEN.

George W. Bush administration cleaned up 40 pollution sites a year. Obama’s first year in office saw only 20 completed clean ups and in 2014 the number dived to a piddly eight. By the tail-end of the Obama years there were still 1,300-plus sites on the Superfund National Priorities List—the worst of the worst—and some 53 million people living within three miles of one. The "program was neglected in the Obama administration" per Brett Hartl, the Center for Biological Diversity’s government affairs director.

It will be January 20 when Trump has to get out or perhaps be carried out, whichever comes first.

Since it's 2021, Trump will be out and Biden will be in when January is over.

The countdown is on. ;-) 19...

Trump did not even like the job...........he just adored the perks , and being center of attention. (and wielding power)

The finer details of the job did not interest him......and even bored him. One cannot say that he was a "servant" of the people who voted for him.

He is not a public service type of fellow. ( does not have the personality for it)

    Happy New year !!!

I have confidence in the system and the coming major change. What concerns me is is how Trump will handle it as Biden takes the reigns. Trump is a very vengeful and juvenile man.......and could make Biden's presidency miserable ...... even if just by doing his nasty rage tweets.

I do think that Biden has handled the transition very well and in a responsible manner. His priority is the population, it's welfare ( both health and financial)... I am also concerned about the Trump supporters holding grudges. Hope my concerns are unfounded. ;-)

What’s everyone’s opinion on this Biden pick for his secretary of ag? Tom Vilsac aka. “Mr. Monsanto“ and a racist to boot. More approvals as President Obama’s secretary of ag. for GMO’s than any ag secretary. Set up reduced regulation that led to higher rates of Covid infections in chicken processing plants. The list of reasons for progressives to dislike the pick are endless it seems.

Biden’s secretary of state pick likely to face questions about Chinese donations to Penn. But not from the Fake News Media.

Blinken served as the managing director of the University of Pennsylvania’s Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, also known as the Penn Biden Center.

May 2020, the Biden Center was the subject of a complaint by the Washington D.C.-based National Legal and Policy Center alleging Penn had failed to report over $67 million from China-based sources since 2013.

The school has received over $22 million since the school opened the Biden Center in 2017 from China-based sources that are listed simply as “anonymous.”

As Trump tries to overturn the election, Biden has yet to select an Attorney General. I hope he picks one soon. There are 11 GOP senators out to over turn the November election so Trump can win a second term. That I don't think is going to happen. Why can't Trump concede and accept the fact that he lost? Biden being declared the winner is not fake news, it's real news and we should all learn to accept it and live with it.

    The Emerging Biden Administration

Have to say I was hugely relieved when Trump lost. I even found reason to chuckle at how the Electoral count was the same as the 2016 race.

But I just don't much care about who Biden picks for his cabinet. A team of the most distinguished crack addled chimpanzees from a fantasy dystopian zoo would be an immense improvement over the Trump Error.

I will have to oppose Biden on the Second Amendment. Other than that he is a fairly average sort of liberal Democrat, not a Socialist, does not want to Defund Police. I can live with what he is for the one term I expect him to serve. After that, we shall see.

Looking ahead to 2024, if Trump manages to again grab the GOP nomination I'll have no choice but to vote for whomever and whatever the Democrats nominate.

That includes a crack addled chimpanzee from a fantasy dystopian zoo, if necessary.

Do you think he will give up the Governor of California job for that?
