and no one will invest there because they know that sooner or later their resources will be confiscated by the government. Stagflation, volatile oil prices, and a unresponsive government has created a poor macro economic climate

Really? I never see you correcting other posters on this forum when Norway is used as the poster child for socialism. It's actually a combination of socialism and capitalism.

Haha it will never be the way of the world. I find it adorable you think that.

And no, the economy is not day to day compared to Norway. Compared to Norway, the US economy is as safe as a SCIF.

Trump may be more socialist than Bernie and definitely is more socialist than Hillary. Can someone tell me one free market principle he supports?

If you really are an army soldier you probably know more about socialism than anyone else on here, being as the US military is the biggest socialist program the USA sponsors.

The real problem is those "really smart people" start to stash away something for themselves. Hugo Chavez's daughter has about 4 billion in American dollars in European bank accounts. The "really smart people" in socialism are duping the rest of them.

Trump isn't socialist--he's a populist crony capitalist.

The military is also not a component of the constitution. It's not really socialist as it is a monarchy (or set of them).

I earned several promotions based on my performance and chose my military career field. Just because 0bama uses the military for social experiments doesn't make the military socialist. I also had the option to leave and I took my training and work experience with me when I left. It has benefited me greatly in a capitalist economy.

The military is still basically a 100 percent tax funded organization designed to defend the homeland and assert our power elsewhere.
I'm just pointing out no rich guy is cutting a check once a month to pay for it, without social financing the military couldn't exist.
I'm not socialist, but it is needed for somethings.

Except you're not using the definition of socialism which is government ownership of the means of PRODUCTION. The military is not a means of production ergo having a government funded military is not indicative of socialism either way. Because it has nothing to DO with socialism which is government owning the means of production. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/socialism

I believe Pinochet died some years ago...

5 Ways Capitalist Chile is Much Better Than Socialist Venezuela

The story of Chile’s success starts in the mid-1970s, when Chile’s military government abandoned socialism and started to implement economic reforms. In 2013, Chile was the world’s 10th freest economy. Venezuela, in the meantime, declined from being the world’s 10th freest economy in 1975 to being the world’s least free economy in 2013

5. Last, but not least, as the people of Chile grew richer, they started demanding more say in the running of their country. Starting in the late 1980s, the military gradually and peacefully handed power over to democratically-elected representatives. In Venezuela, the opposite has happened. As failure of socialism became more apparent, the government had to resort to ever more repressive measures in order to keep itself in power—just as Friedrich Hayek predicted.

Should read: The story of Chile’s success starts in the mid-1970s, when Chile’s military government abandoned socialism and started shooting people who agitated for freedom and democracy while giving huge kickbacks to American corporations.

And bankrobbers don't want to get into a shootout with the cops. But when (*)(*)(*)(*) inevitably goes south due to a bad plan that is what happens.

Usually, liberals like that just say that they are socially liberal, fiscally Conservative.

That just means that they are a liberal that doesn't want to pay THEIR (mandated) "fair share" of taxes.

Remember the Marxist pattern:

Demoralization, destabilization, normalization.

1) Republicans are huge socialists. You should learn the meaning of the terms you use.
2) Clinton is definitely going down the road of totalitarianism/police state. Sanders ? not really.

3) Establishment Republicans are just as culpable in the move towards totalitarianism.

You seem to have a rather one sided and myopic perspective.

How was standard oil a monopoly? How was Bell a monopoly? The standard for monopoly under the law is not sole control of the market.

Western leftist are for the most part fascist because of the message displayed in your own post. Modern leftists don't have a problem with monopolies so long as the people running them are on their side. That's neither capitalism nor socialism. That is fascism.
