Too funny --- 5 years of the most intense investigation the human mind can imagine -- and Teflon Don still standing.

So "The Great Unraveling" is not a great description of Carrot Top. it is however a great description of the Democratic Party.

That distinction goes to the Repub's fruitless investigations of Hillary. Though in her case it's 20 years.

Judge says Trump and two adult children must testify in New York attorney general probe

A New York judge ruled Thursday that former President Donald Trump and two of his adult children must comply with subpoenas seeking to question them under oath and obtain other evidence for a civil investigation of the Trump Organization.

The ruling came after a contentious hearing where lawyers for Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump attacked Attorney General Letitia James for conducting what they said was a probe tainted by political bias, and a violation of the elder Trump’s constitutional rights.

The Trump lawyers are seeking to block the subpoenas on those and other grounds.

James is investigating whether the Trump Organization improperly stated the valuations of various real estate assets to obtain more favorable loans, insurance rates and tax benefits. Donald Trump Jr. still runs the company with his brother Eric, while Ivanka previously was a top executive at the firm.

Going back to 1992 so make it 30 years, Whitewater, the death of Vince Foster, Filegate, Benghazi (7 separate congressional investigations and one by the State Dept.), the Clinton Foundation, and the server witch hunt.

The House Oversight and Reform Committee sent a letter to the General Services Administration (GSA) today, asking that the federal agency terminate the lease that Trump’s business holds on his Washington, D.C., hotel — and to do it promptly, before Trump can sell it. The panel cited in its letter recent news that his longtime accounting firm Mazars has decided to stop working for him.

On Monday, Mazars announced it would sever ties with Trump and the Trump Organization due to evidence from official filings in James’ case about the Trump Org’s fishy practices over the years. Mazars said in a statement that the organization’s financial records from the last decade “should no longer be relied upon.”

“New information, including that former President Trump may have submitted inaccurate financial information to the federal government to obtain this lease and that he stands to reap millions in profit from selling the lease, reinforce the serious ethical and legal concerns previously raised by the Committee,” Reps. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) and Gerald Connolly (D-VA) wrote in the letter to GSA.

Not even close - Hillary had nothing to investigate .. was her Husband investigated .. Like comparing Miliania to Donald -- a pathetic attempt.

Benghazi was a real investigation -- but not of Hillaries personal life .. was based around her actions in relation to Benghazi - and she lied This was not a 4 year long investigation into her personal affairs and everything and everyone around her - for some made up accusation that is not even a crime .. Ridiculous and futile attempt at equivalency.

7 congressional investigations --- When you do stupid things while in office .. investigations happen .. but this is related to specific actions in office - note combing through one's personal life .. not a special council with insane powers ..

Give you credit for coming up with so many dirty deeds of Hillary .. but she was not investigated in the extreme way Trump was -- using extra ordinary powers sans Lewinskigate which she had nothing to do with.

Hillary was accused of wrongdoing in all the investigations I listed. Your assertion to the contrary is factually incorrect.
What investigations of Trump have been initiated without cause?

What was factually incorrect -- quit making nonsense accusations without even saying what you are talking about - namecalling being your main arsenal.

Russiagate was inflated -- and maintained without cause -- proven to you 6 times to Sunday by umpteen posters - yet you are still in denial - pretending you aint heard nothing .. Like The good Colonel Klink in Hogan's Heros .. member that fellow ?

Quit claiming "Factually incorrect" - but now stating what you think is incorrect -- how is one to know what you are talking about - and obviously you certainly don't.

and quit posting links without citing from the link -- specially since you have not even stated what the link is supposed to illustrate in this circle of meaningless nonsense.

Some White House docs recovered from Mar-a-Lago were marked classified, National Archives confirms

The National Archives and Records Administration confirmed Friday that items marked “classified” were among the 15 boxes of White House records retrieved from former President Donald Trump’s home, Mar-a-Lago, last month.

The National Archives also noted that the Trump administration “did not fully capture” all social media posts made by the ex-president and his White House staffers.

The disclosures came in two letters sent to the House Oversight and Reform Committee by U.S. Archivist David Ferriero.

In one, Ferriero said that the Archives “has identified items marked as classified national security information within the boxes.”

The discovery of those classified documents in Trump’s Palm Beach, Florida, home prompted NARA staff to reach out to the Department of Justice, Ferriero told Oversight Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., in that letter.

I'm sure this will be compartmentalized by The Following as.......well........Don being Don. If one can cut through the normalization of rule/law breaking that became routine with Dear Leader in the WH, and see it for what it is, it's a violation of law, of national security protocols, and of the public's trust.

Trump accused of breaking campaign laws by teasing 2024 run

As former President Donald Trump continues to tease a future White House bid, a pro-Democratic super PAC has accused him of violating federal campaign laws by raising and spending money for a run without officially filing his candidacy.

In its complaint filed Monday with the Federal Election Commission, American Bridge accused Trump of “illegally using his multicandidate leadership PAC to raise and spend funds in excess of Commission limits for the purpose of advancing a 2024 presidential campaign." The super PAC says that includes “payments for events at Trump properties, rallies featuring Mr. Trump, consulting payments to former Trump campaign staff, and digital advertising about Mr. Trump’s events and his presumptive 2024 opponent.”

Trump Says He’ll Ditch Pence If He Makes A Comeback Bid In 2024

Former President Trump hasn’t confirmed whether he’s going to run again in 2024, but if he does, don’t expect to see his former VP Mike Pence on the ticket.

“I don’t think the people would accept it,” Trump told the Washington Examiner in a phone interview Tuesday evening from Mar-a-Lago.

The former president reportedly complained about Pence’s refusal to play along with his election fraud falsehoods. Pence, who presided over the Senate on the day of the joint session of Congress certifying Joe Biden’s electoral victory, refused to cave to Trump’s pressure campaign to toss electoral votes from battleground states.

I think Pence's response to that would be something along the lines of........."you can't fire me I quit."

U.S., U.K. reach deal to end steel tariff dispute

The United States and the United Kingdom on Tuesday reached an agreement that will lead to the partial removal of tariffs that former President Donald Trump imposed on British steel and aluminum, an announcement that came at the conclusion of a two-day trade dialogue that was shadowed by the increasingly grim conflict in Ukraine.

The Biden administration has already reached similar deals with the European Union and Japan, part of its efforts to repair trade relations with allies that were damaged during the Trump administration. Trump argued that the U.S. needed to protect its steel and aluminum industries on national security grounds, prompting him to levy duties on imports of both metals from a number of major trading partners, including China, Russia and India.

Another part of the Tariff Man's buffoonery has been eradicated thanks to Joe.

A federal judge in a ruling Monday said it was likely that former President Donald Trump broke the law by “corruptly” attempting to obstruct the confirmation of President Joe Biden’s Electoral College win by Congress on Jan. 6, 2021.

    Details are coming in.

Trump Likely Committed Obstruction Of Congress, Judge Rules
It came in a ruling against attorney John Eastman.

Former President Trump’s actions on Jan. 6 likely constitute attempted obstruction of Congress, a federal judge ruled on Monday.

“Based on the evidence, the Court finds it more likely than not that President Trump corruptly attempted to obstruct the Joint Session of Congress on January 6, 2021,” U.S. District Judge David Carter for the Central District of California wrote.

Carter ruled in the opinion that John Eastman, an influential conservative attorney who argued in favor of Trump’s efforts to subvert the election, had to turn over more than 100 emails to the House Jan. 6 Committee.

Eastman was responsible for crafting legal arguments that would have subverted the formalization of Biden’s win on Jan. 6. According to a December 2020 memo that Eastman wrote, then-Vice President Mike Pence would reject electoral vote slates from seven swing states that Trump lost, ensuring, the memo noted, that “President Trump is re-elected.”

No problem. This may be the first time a judge has weighed in on the illegality of Trump's coup plot.
