Please quote the officials who supported the attack on the capital. Would like to hear their actual words and NOT someone’s interpretation of anything they said. Full quotes, because I haven’t heard any words from an elected official who said those who broke into the capital did a good thing. I heard protesting it was ok and it is, as long as violence wasn’t used. I don’t agree with them but peaceful protest is perfectly acceptable. Always is. Violence is NOT.

Haven’t heard anything but condemnation of those who broke the law. No excuses for expressing themselves or being forced into it from years of oppression and other such nonsense.

Please quote an elected official supporting people who broke into the capital and threatened others because they shouid have been removed instantly. Haven’t heard it though. Can you enlighten us?

You do know that just because someone believed that birtherism crap doesn't mean that they're racist right?

That was not a peaceful protest. It was a lethal assault on our democracy.

The insurgents came with arms, broke down the entryway, killed an officer and throughout they stated that they were there to kill Pence, Pelosi, and others who were there filling their constitutional duties in our national election.

There is no use going further until you agree that was a direct and lethal assault on our democracy.

Trump cleared up ALL doubt about his white supremacist beliefs.

It's not as if we have to guess about that.

Plus, the birtherism of Trump was an attempt to pitch Obama as an African Muslim - clearly racist in itself.

Actually its not "statistically very unlikely" if you take into account that the vast majority of minorities vote Democrat. And if you also take into account the differences of outlook on life between a conservative and a liberal. Most conservatives are individualists with a live let live type of outlook on life. Whereas most liberals are more social oriented with a need to be in a group.

Those two things alone can be the reason that there are less minorities on the Republican side of a group of 100 people. And that's not even taking into account other variables. Of which there are many.

Caring about others is not a "need to be in a group".

I agree that not giving a CRAP about others is quite Republican, but they ALSO see themselves as members of groups - the groups of the financially successful or lily white and not being given enough deference for their skin color.

You need to think through your claims, as your stereotypes really just don't work at all.

Yes he did. Many many many many times. He kept denouncing them over and over and over and yet the media kept going on and on and on about how racist he was. And they gave little to no viewing time to all the times that he met with black people or how he tried to help them with opportunity zone districts, the support he gave to historically Black colleges, and prison reform with the First Step Act (some even claimed that Trump did nothing in regards to the First Step Act). Hell, even Vernon Jones, a Democrat lawmaker in Georgia admitted that Trump did more for the black community than any other President for the past 50 years.

    But hey, he's RACIST!!!

... and, tell me how "live and let live" applies to white supremacist Republicans.

Tell me about how the Proud Boys are "live and let live".

Tell me about those t-shirts and flags on Jan 6 with phrases indicating that the Nazis didn't slaughter enough Jews.

Trump. Hawley. Cruz. That QAnon Republican Representative. Several elected Republicans who actually TOOK PART in the January 6 insurrection.

Beyond that, NO REPUBLICAN LEADER is making ANY effort to hold ANYONE accountable for that murderous assault on our democracy.

Even if they didn't PROMOTE it (like some clearly did) there is NO EXCUSE for refusing to hold ANYONE to account for their support, or to otherwise take steps to ensure that the Republican party stands for ... well, just about anything else would be better than standing for an end to democracy.

Clearly, you are making every effort to separate yourself from the news. You shouldn't do that.

It can mean that, but not likely, since they are the same type of people.

I am more worried about their policies than how they speak to blacks and hispanics. Biden's attack on traditional energy, for instance, is going to have a bad impact on poor people, especially in areas that are disproportionately minority cities where energy poverty is already a real problem as is. That is a fancy way of saying people can't afford to keep their lights, especially in winter, in a lot of places like Detroit and Chicago. And no, a $15 minimum wage isn't going to fix anything. It will just add already cash restrained senior citizens to the kill list.

Just stop. There are thousands of mega-successful minority business owners, and a number of liberals who are among the
richest in the world. Republicans have very few minority office holders because they do not support down-ticket
candidates who aren't white and mostly male. Is what it is.

How dare they elect an open racist who states blacks will do as they are told and vote for him or he will take their blackness away

Even if that were true it does not negate or diminish the fact that Dems elected the FIRST black POTUS in any way.

Dems elected an open racist. The party is stained with a leader they wanted, that openly thinks he is better than black people.

It’s a stain on the party, one of many

Obummer's father was Kenyan and his mother was white so that makes him a black and white half breed. Obummer is not all black.

Who hasn't seen a picture of Obummer. Yes I have seen a picture of Obummer. So what? It doesn't change the facts.
