How many of you actually agree that he should be sentenced for that time? 2 years for showing his willy my gosh some people hate nudity. I don't think there should be any laws simply regarding nudity. But at the very least the punishment should be changed to a $200 fine. In a world where kids can see people being blown to bits on cable or video games where the kid's characters stomp turtles to death the odd nude person running around doesn't seem so serious.
If i lived there i'd up and start a nude jog in protest, invite some ladies, (*)(*)(*)(*) that be pretty cool. I wonder if we have any laws like this.

 

Yeah those pompous Presbyterian ********s! In Islamic countries this kind of stuff is fine when men do it, hey, rape some fornicators while you're at it! (*)(*)(*)(*) you. I react like this for two reasons: 1. you point out stupid things Christians do( even though the Scottish government is not Christian) while turning a blind eye towards Islamic rape and murder. 2. I am Presbyterian.

Nothing wrong with nudity...in the appropriate place....which have designated areas to do so!
Hypocrisy not to respect others wishes who set aside these areas to allow those with this needs to do so...in a caring balanced society!

Why isn`t it his responsibility to take himself to an appropriate place to be naked? If he has issues or problems preventing him from doing this, he possibly should be institutionalised, not jailed.

What is acceptable in Scotland might be to your taste.....but its right for those that live in this land to expect that you either live by our rules or face the penalty under those rules provided they are fair and equitable!

Indeed you are correct about people supporting his military actions. We do support that. Theres a big difference between military actions and public nudity.

We don't allow him to walk around naked any more than we allow him to break speed limits in his car, or evade income tax or walk around with a bag of amphetamine in his pocket with impunity. The fact that he is an ex-marine does not entitle him to disregard laws which everyone else has to obey.

He is only thinking of his own "rights" - he couldn't give a stuff about the rights of others not to have to endure his indecent behaviour. If he did this here in Sweden, our police would lock him up in a heartbeat and he would be sent to prison - rightly so! The Scottish courts are not just entitled to deal with him firmly, they have a duty to protect public spaces from this offensive idiot.

It's two years because he was up on two charges.....breach of the peace, and contempt of court (for turning up bollock naked)..plus he had to serve the unexpired portion of his last sentence from which he was freed early.

The tosser has been jailed 20 times in Scotland for much the same thing,and his sentences have gradually increased from the first one of 3 months over the ten years and twenty appearances......as they would with any persistent offender.

He didn't get jailed for showing his willy....he was jailed for showing his willy in a public place to people who didn't want to be looking at it, and had the human right not to have to look at it.

If all he wanted was the freedom to wander naked and feel the weather on his bare skin, there are plenty nudist beaches....or he could just go back to England, where it appears he won't be jailed unless he produces his willy through the zip in his trousers and waves it at a female or child who doesn't want to see it!

What gives an English ******** (or willy) (or as English papers call him.....an eccentric) the right to come up into Scotland and try to change our laws, anyway?
