Democrats have been complaining about Trump and his “tweets” potentially influencing judicial decisions and court cases; BUT Democrats love court intervention and executive influence over the courts when it benefits their needs

FDR, consistently a favorite polling president among Democrats, is the closest president we ever had to a dictator and wielded one of the strongest authoritarian executive branches in the history of our nation.

Let’s not even talk about FDR’s internment of Japanese Americans and the courts fear of this president to rule that it was a violation of equal protection.

Let’s just talk about FDR’s new deal. After the court repeatedly found that FDR’s new deal was unconstitutional and a huge overreach of executive power, FDR threatened to pack the courts. He openly tried to introduce judges that will pass his policy to the court by expanding the number of justices. The Court in fear of this relented, and gave the federal government an absurd amount of power in the expansion of the commerce clause interpretation.

After FDR tried to introduce law to pack the courts, the Supreme Court did a 180 and interpreted the commerce clause to allow the new deal.

FDR was a dictator and Democrats loved him for it. All the branches feared FDR and after his death term limits were imposed immediately.

Democrats actually really love dictators and the executive to have power over the judicial branch, as long as it suits their needs.

So that is the sort of thing folks with a proclivity towards authoritarianism are telling themselves these days? You're beginning to frighten me. Perhaps you'd be happier living under real authoritarian rule somewhere. I can think of a few excellent destinations.
