The Media Have A Godless Agenda

Kanye West made the argument on Tucker Carlson's show that our American media are operating on a Godless agenda. I disagree a bit, our media (and leftist political elite) are not just Godless, they hate God. They cannot tolerate the idea that government is not the ultimate moral and cultural arbiter. If they have their way how many years will it be before Christianity will be outlawed in our country?

Rap icon and billionaire fashion mogul Kanye West scolded the establishment media during his explosive interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson, charging it pushes a Godless agenda.


West calling out the media came after he defended his recent decision to wear a “White Lives Matter” shirt at his Paris.

God is like preparing us for the real battles. We are in a battle with the media,” he said. “The majority of the media has a Godless agenda and jokes are not working. They don’t work because the media has watched travesties happen, specifically to me, and just act like it wasn’t happening.”

How can a person 'hate' something in which they don't believe?

 

Well they definitely cannot call him TRUMPY. He quoted Trump telling him that his black approval rating went up 40% when he visited him.

They hate that God has any influence at all in our lives. They will absolutely try to destroy Christianity completely.

Do you believe the media can destroy peoples beliefs in god and religion? If so, then I would say those people didn’t have a real belief to begin with.

 

I see it differently. There is no hate for the influence it has on the lives of others - they hate the influence it has on politics and public policy...the fact that it will affect THEIR lives. And it shouldn't. Freedom of religion means that we can all worship as we choose. But when it impacts the lives of others, then it cannot be tolerated.

 

It's not hate, just a realization that the believers think they are better than us non-believers, because just by believing in the invisible person in the sky makes them more moral than the rest of us. However, when you look at their actual behavior, very few Christians abide by the rules of the Bible (in particular the New Testament). My father was one of those few, as was one of my former pastors. I haven't personally seen many others, though. Now, the funniest thing is that people actually believe that Trump is a Christian.

 

No, I don't believe they can destroy our religious beliefs, but they will certainly try even to the point of making expression of our beliefs illegal. It's been tried before and failed, most notably in the Soviet Union. I'm re-reading Solzhenitsyn's " Warning to the West" now just to remind myself how evil a government can be when God is considered an enemy of the state.

 

Liberal folks and their pet media want you to worship them. It's pretty simple. And a zero sum game when you have an allegiance not to them, it makes them sad... so, liberal folks attack religion, because like their business models, only their brand can be what you rely on...

 

Media can't make expression of our beliefs illegal.

You should clarify that not ALL religious people think this way. GOOD Atheists are actually my favorite kind of people. they are being good just because its the right thing to do and not just because fear of hell (i'm not saying this is why good religious people are good, but it does keep some of them in check)

Also, Jesus did not write the bible so why do you imply "very few Christians abide by the rules of the bible"? that just seems, i dunno, a bit sneaky to me.

I will point out, as would any competent debater, that you offered no real supporting argument, showing how the media hates God-- other than, of course, the word of Kanye West. Unless you think "this is the word of Kanye," should be followed by, "thanks be to to God," you really have no excuse for not laying out a case, as to why you had apparently come to your conclusion, before you heard Kanye confirming your own feelings. Otherwise, why should anyone (who doesn't agree with you already, anyway) bother to consider what you are saying? What is there, for anyone even to consider? Kanye's got some beef with the media. What else is new?

What church is JC not a fan of? There's literally 1000s of Christian churches of differing ideologies.
