    Sorry what part of "Global Warming may Worsen Droughts in West Africa" is not about what we discussed - Oh! that is right! IT does not say "Global warming CAUSES everything from torn toilet paper to tooth decay"

    Very possibly because that is what denialists would love - a straw man to attack

    If you are going to accuse me of being a liar you best back it up with something more substanative than hyperbole. On the contrary, it is you who can not produce any scientific discourse to support your claims. Come at me with some bonafide science or don't come at all....

    Just out of curiosity, do you believe and teach evolution?

    Perhaps you could elaborate on why you trust his opinion and not mine as I find your evaluation and selection of source material quite curious. I'm at a total loss to understand why you find blogs, pundits and holocaust deniers more credible than Mann, PNAS or Scoence Mag. If you want to call me out for espousing Dr Bowdensteins qialifications while pointing out that he offers nothing to support the allegations of scientific malfeasence he insinuates so be it.. But you sir do the same thing you accise me of

    Let's get real here ... global warming / global climate change is a relatively new science ... only in the last 30 years has scientific instrumentation been increasingly sophisticated enough to even make the hypothesis(s) ... then it takes longer than that to record the (historical) data ...

    But let's face it ... right-wing christian fanatics are the principle antagonists against the algorians ... it's a disguise for special interests (Primarily Big Oil) about eliminating the EPA and other govt. regulatories as a matter of profit-seeking ... and of course creationism ...

    ... and of course such respected agencies as NOAA are a liberal conspiracy to take over the world ... even NASA who is probably the most prominent authority on Man Made Global Warming ~ Carbon Dioxide Concentrations (C02's as Greenhouse Gases) , Global Surface Temps, Arctic Sea Ice, Land Ice and Sea Levels ... given its billions of dollars of scientific equipment ... and such recent violent weather extremes ... are merely the will of god ... on and on ..


    In the meantime, such global warming indicators as the spruce beetle killing-off vast swaths of forest because their natural predators like cold & snow has declined ... or Australias' crown of thorn starfish *plague* destroying reefs attributed to its predator kill-off mainly because of warming oceans as it's predators seek colder waters ... bird migration is now an indicator ...


    But here's the best recent indicator I like ....

    The first mass exodus related to climate change is happening in Kiribati, a group of islands located in the central tropical Pacific Ocean.
    The archipelago consists of 32 islands and it plans to move the entire population to Fiji in order to avoid rising sea levels.

    According to their President, Anote Tong:

    “This is the last resort, there is no way out of this one.
    Our people will have to move as the tides have reached our homes and villages.
    We don’t want 100,000 people from Kiribati coming to Fiji in one go.
    They need to find employment, not as refugees but as immigrant people with skills to offer, people who have a place in the community, people who will not be seen as second-class citizens.
    What we need is the international community to come up with an urgent funding package to deal with that ambition, and the need of countries like Kiribati.”
