If you were a fundamentalist Christian, wouldn't you think that since birth, death, and Resurrection of Jesus is part of a divine plan, that it would occur in all of the universes (never thought that word would need a plural), regardless of how else history went in them? In other words, if its a divine plan, Jesus would still be born and would not die in infancy in any universe.

I am almost certain that you will enjoy what near death experiencer Mellen Benedict was shown about the Cyclic Model of the Universe:

If the multiverse hypothesis is true, what are the implications for theists and atheists?

    1) Regarding the fine-tuning argument for God & the Multiverse: "There is a final response, known as the multiverse hypothesis. The multiverse hypothesis claims that there are many other universes in addition to our own. Each of these has different properties, and different values of the basic constants of physics. If the number of these universes is extremely large, it would be less surprising that one of them would happen to provide the specific conditions for life. At first glance, the proposition of many other universes sounds impressively scientific. However, one must keep in mind that the likelihood of ever being able to observe evidence of another universe is extremely remote, since it is unlikely that information could ever pass from one universe to another. Furthermore, there is no guarantee that the process which produces all of these universes would randomly set all the physical parameters in such a way that every possibility is realized. It could be that there are constraints on the characteristics of these many universes and that the production process itself would have to be fine-tuned in some way to guarantee that we get enough variety of universes to account for our remarkable cosmic home."

    2) What caused the multiverse to come into being?

I like this statement: "Newton's laws describe what will happen, they don't cause motion."

And check out this article: Why physicists can't avoid a creation event

    3) If the multiverse exists you could be a theist or a polytheist, but you couldn't be an atheist.

Princeton philosopher David K. Lewis has pointed out that a multiverse means "all logically possible universes are as real as the one we call the "actual" one." And "there is even a universe containing the Greek gods".

Actually that sounds similar to eternal inflation, not cyclic models. From wiki:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eternal_inflation

Funny thing is, cyclic models do not predict gravitational waves in CMB, while eternal inflation models do predict strong gravity waves. So recent dicovery of strong gravity waves in CMB favors eternal inflation theories and disfavors cyclic models.

I agree Phoebe Bump.... and apparently so do those beings of light who met with Mellen Benedict during his brush with death!

They even explained that Black Holes were the great recycling factories of the universe/multiverse!

    SPECTACULAR post Blasphemer!!!!!!

I don't like using the incorrect terms....when I am debatig.... and I agree....... this is an even better explanation..........than the Cyclic Model!

The Dr. Chet Snow study indicates that time....... is like a tree with both roots as well as branches........ actually a being/Beings composed of fundamental energy.... might find it child's play to replicate the universe or earth...... exactly as it was at some point in the past.... and then spin off an entirely new and hopefully improved future.......

Obviously..... America was not 15% or so covered by water on January 1, 2013..... but that would not rule out this having perhaps happened in another time line????!!!!

One of the most important implications for theists is that a Creator Father / Mother who has invested all that time and effort in each of us....... and in this earth...... might tend to become emotionally attached.... and might tend to want to figure out some way of leading all of us to something resembling universal salvation.

This is exactly what Christian Andreason was shown during his NDE!

Gotta admit, you piqued my curiosity. I'd had never heard of Mellen Benedict.

The beings of light that he quotes......... are seriously cool!!!!!?????

The fact that he made six patents after his NDE..... is also intriguing to say the least!!!
