If you were a fundamentalist Christian, wouldn't you think that since birth, death, and Resurrection of Jesus is part of a divine plan, that it would occur in all of the universes (never thought that word would need a plural), regardless of how else history went in them? In other words, if its a divine plan, Jesus would still be born and would not die in infancy in any universe.

Actually that sounds similar to eternal inflation, not cyclic models. So recent dicovery of strong gravity waves in CMB favors eternal inflation theories and disfavors cyclic models.
