The simple truth is that conservatives don't understand the debt any more than they understand Social Security. They also fail to understand that the economy is 70% driven by SPENDING. Which is why supply side economics has failed to do anything for the vast majority of Americans. Reaganomics has been nothing but a transfer of wealth from the middle class to the rich. That's the most the debt has increased under ANY president... By the time he is done Obama will have added more to the national debt than EVERY SINGLE PRESIDENT BEFORE HIM COMBINED.
First off that debt was run up by previous (mostly REPUBLICAN) presidents. It just didn't make it on the books until later. Did you actually think the bills Bush ran up stopped just because he left office? That's like thinking that your credit card bills stop when you leave the store. They actually show up later. Second the money that Obama did spend was necessary to keep Duh-bya's pathetic economy from going off a cliff. That right wing noise machine makes people stupid. Turn it OFF! There is no law that says that conservatives HAVE TO remain ignorant.
