The U.S. didn't kill the German POWs after the war.
Who cares about the two atomic bombs dropped on Japan. The conventional attacks on Japanese cities killed more people.

The U.S. should not be blamed for killing people in wars it didn't start.

Almost every nation would be better off if they just conformed to the will of the U.S.

I agree America needs a reformation however mandating it won't work because it will be fake. Reformation starts in the hearts of people like you and me then we teach our children right from wrong and we influence people by our good behavior. That is the only way we will end up with a government better than we have now. We need to become better people and run for office.

And the U.S. dropped the two atomic bombs largely to give the Japanese an excuse to surrender. the Japanese knew they were beaten and had no hope. But their militaristic sense of honor would not let them simply give up. The nuclear weapons though allowed the Japanese to surrender without their sense of national honor being insulted by reasoning that they weren't outfought but simply the U.S. had the "power of the atom" at their disposal thus continued resistance was pointless.
