The riots prove fears over the virus are exaggerated

Hundreds of thousands have rioted over the past week, in these large gatherings we are supposed to avoid. While some of these people could become asymptomatic, there haven’t been any reports of an viral uptick since George Floyd was murdered nearly a week ago. Guess what this proves?

Concerts can resume, movie theaters and religious institutions can reopen, restaurants can go back to operating pre-COVID, because such close contact has obviously failed to get more infected. For the people who have claimed we have gone overboard with this lockdown for the past three months, these riots just proved our suspicions were correct after all. How is this news?

We have proof now that COVID is not as contagious as initially believed. This is enough reason to call off any lockdowns in existence, especially now that experts are saying to ditch the masks and simply practice good hygiene.

 

What experts are saying ditch the masks? That's news to me. There can be a long lead time between transmission and test results that will reveal an increase in people with coronavirus, particularly since people without symptoms are unlikely to be tested. We should have a better idea of the impact of the demonstrations by the end of this month.

 

The reality is after the Russian Hoax, and the Impeachment hoax....and the failure of the Chinese Hoax to stick...the left is now using the tragic death of this man to return back to their terrorist tactics in hopes that it will hurt the President. It too will backfire

 

I would tell folks who wish to continue the lockdowns, in places like CA, San Francisco and LA in particular that having allowed tens of thousands to assemble absent any social distancing basically undercuts any future attempt to walk that tolerance back. It is time, and the tyranny of nanny state politics must end.

 

Only people it's hurting and these are the most important people they're hurting: The US Citizens, people who neither protested nor had any inclination to violence, but people who just wanted to engage in commerce, or people who wanted to go out to eat or hell go out period after the lockdowns.

While the Democrats are hoping we look at Trump, we're not democrats. We understand: "Houston, we've got bigger problems,"

And the Democrats have the problem of antifa's political affiliation. They literally are the Stormtroopers of our time. But it's 2020, not 1920. It's not a good look for the democrats, and they know it.

 

The silence from all the lockdown Karens of a just a mere two weeks ago is deafening.

 

Saw a clip on the CBS Morning News of a white police chief without a mask loudly voicing support of demonstrators to the crowd around him. Two black men near him were also not wearing masks. Neither Gayle King or the other cohosts made any comment about the lack of masks or social distancing. Liberal media indignation about people not wearing masks seems to have largely disappeared. White rednecks not wearing masks: Bad. Leftist protestors not wearing masks: Good.

I don't see that the change in the number of unsafe contacts in the USA is being changed significantly by this one event.

Are the rioters cooperating with the distancing and isolation plan?

Are the massive, densely-packed crowds of liberal rioters with COVID or against COVID?

It's amazing how the lockdown tune has changed in just one short week.

It's just like Sandy Hook, all the people who "died" were just ACTORS, even to the point of being embalmed and buried. Wow, talk about not breaking character.

The disease can often take from 5 days to 2 weeks to show symptoms. It's been scarcely one week yet and this assumes that everyone who caught the virus will show. Young people are often asymptomatic and not too many 70 year olds with health issues go to riots

 

There is no contradiction in what I said.

The number who were rioting does NOT compare to the number of workers who are being reuqired to work in seriously unsafe conditions

It also doesn't compare to the whole states that we have where the gubernatorial leadership is calling for NO PPE!!

It would be great if the number of peaceful demonstrateors of another racist police murder had that kind of numbers.

As for those rioting, suggesting that hey would otherwise have been wearing masks and self isolating for the good of America is just plain ...

Medical professionals/scientists working 24/7 for a vaccine, MSM endlessly broadcasting the dangers of the virus, who woulda thunk the cure would be discovered by rioters and arsonists?

Incorrect. What this proves is that Democrats, liberals, progressives, are simply willing to betray their position on COVID and put the country at great risk of explosive outbreak in order to allow their terrorist wing the leeway to burn things, steal stuff, and hurt people. And that myth about masks was the result of right-wing media manipulating a very specific, non-peer reviewed, recommendation made by a single doctor who was speaking in larger context of the supply chains of masks and not in COVID mitigation efforts. In order words: fake news. You still need to wear a mask if you care about your community.
