Apologies if this is a repost. I did a quick search and thought if it hadn't been posted it should be.

One of the best renditions of scale for the existing paradigm as I have seen.

    It is fantastic!

    cudos for the thread

    thanx

and i believe each child should have this within their schools to observe.

A point i would like to disclose; the model aint perfect but with that scaling, the rest is just math to 'create' most anything we can imagine.

What I like about it is that it's logarithmic - you move along by orders of magnitude rather than linearly. I find a lot of people don't understand why this is a better way to visualize such huge changes in value and thinking of something as "two orders of magnitude conveys more information than "300 more" or whatever. Plus if it were linear that back half of would require years to scroll through.

    Let's do this linearly!

Let's devote the leftmost pixel of the scrollbar at the bottom to show a single proton (~10^-15 m) at full screen size. Using a linear scale, that means that if you move on to the second pixel of the scrollbar, you could fit two protons onto the screen, at the third pixel three protons and so on. Let's say you have a high resolution display with pixels the size of 10^-4 m. The scrollbar needed to map the entire universe would have to be 10^11 times longer than the universe itself. Have fun scrolling. :)

That said, I love your link.
