I wouldn't say they are pointless. You certainly havent offered much, however, than your 'stock answer'. Thats fine. Carry on.

There will be another Temple. It will be rebuilt on the Temple Mount. Scripture declares it to be so.

The part you are reading in Revelation is past the time when the third temple was built.

No. As I said, its not a question of Christan Arabs and Christians of the West. Its a question of Arabs and Israel.

They already tried to build a third Temple but it was felled by fire and earthquakes.

Lets take this point by point.

    1. Yes there was one Jewish crazy group in the 80s that had a plot to destroy the Dome of the Rock, thank God they were caught and put in prison.

There was movement in 2005 called Revava (****w for 10,000) the idea was the bring 10,000 Jews to the Temple Mount on a single day.

    Here as some facts.

    1. The organizes, some I know, tried to coordinate with the police.

    2. Organizers planned to bring up the masses of Jews, during the police and state sanctioned "Jewish Temple Mount visitation hours" between 7:30am and 11:00am.

    3. The Police initially agreed as long as everyone adhered to the no praying policy, the organizers agreed and even changed the text of the ads and called on the public to come to the Mount under the strict police regulations and not to create any provocations. When the police saw the organizers were serious they then vetoed the mass visit.

    4. Since there is only one gate of the Temple Mount Jews are allowed through m and there is a tight check point, and a narrow ramp lined with police and soldiers that Jews must pass through before even entering the Mount, there is no possibility that anyone could have entered even if the 10,000 entered with anything dangerous. By policy every single Jew is checked head to toe by guards before going through the check point. Every Jew must first had in his ID before going through the first check point. Jews are not allowed up with bags and backpacks or anything that anything can be stuck in.

    5. There is a very strict rout that Jews must take, while on the Mount, and that is also lined with police and soldiers and Jews are immediately kicked off the Mount if they leave the rout, or violate the no-prayer rule in any way even closing ones eyes.
The rout can be seen here, put the curser over the picture to see the rout
    http://www.templeinstitute.org/birds_eye.htm

    6. The Israeli police overacted as thousands tried to make their way into the old city to ascend at the police sanctioned hour of 7:30 in the morning. The police set up check points around the old city and began arresting anyone who looked to0 religious. Thousands of religious Jews sat in Prison that morning for no reason. In addition police confiscated driver’s license of bus drivers who were driving private buses towards the old city. Religious were also pulled off of buses at random and arrested.

There was no video of Rabbis planning a “takeover”, they were planning a large ascent to the Temple Mount under the guidelines that the police already had established. The police and media overacted and called this a “takeover”. Every time lots of Jews want to come to the Mount it is considered illegitimate.

However I should mention that a few weeks ago on the fast day of Tisha B’av which commemorates the destruction of the two temples, over 500 Jews were allowed to ascend to the Temple Mount. We all behaved (ok, there was a little Jewish prayer going on, but nothing too loud) and there were no riots or wars as a result. So it can be done.

Now moving on to Gershom Solomons group, the Temple Mount faithful. Today they are a group of maybe 10-15 older people. I saw there last rally outside the old city about a month ago, I do not think there was anyone under 70. Gershon himself is banned for life from going onto the Mount, you should know he was one of the first paratroopers in 1967 to reach the Mount during its liberation. He has never called on anyone to act in a unilateral manner and has only called on the Government to destroy the Mosques. You may not agree with that (I certainly do not) however, but in a democracy people are allowed to call on the government to do anything and as long as they do not take the matter into their own hands, well that’s what democracy is all about. As long as he sticks to his rallies, who cares?

Next "attempt to crash a drone packed with explosives". I remember articles in the news at the time. There was no evidence of this. There were a few loud mouthed security officials who made these comments, without a shred of evidence.

"Manned suicide attack with a light aircraft" This claim is almost laughable if it was not so sad and pathetic. The Jews invovled in the Temple Mount cause are all religious. Suicide is 100% against Torah law and according to Jewish tradition God will destroy the soul of person who committees suicide. No religious Jew, even the biggest nut, would play with that fire.

These claims were attempts to blackmark the entire religious public and deligitamize the real issue, which is lack of Jewish prayer rights on the Mount. In addition the establishment was trying very hard to qaush the growing opposition to the expulsion of Jewish community of Gaza. This claims served to deligitimzie the entire opposition in the eyes of the public.

I personally know many leaders in the Temple Mount movements and I can tell you as a matter of fact, the entire movement is based on trying to work with the government and restore as many Jewish rights on the Mount as possible, with understanding that doing any damage to Muslims or property on the site is impossible and would only serve to damage Jewish rights on the Mount and would God forbid start a war. Since the religious Jews are at the front lines of the army, we are the last ones who want a war. We want to live and have normal lives, while keeping our religious beliefs. I know since the media portrays us as sadistic nut jobs, you cannot or will not understand that but it is the truth. Might there be a couple true nut jobs out there, who want to do something stupid and dangerous, perhaps. However that is why we have police and secrete service, to get these nuts and to keep them from harming others. You cannot use these few crazies as an excuse to violate the rights of a mass public. The Temple Mount movements, of which I am very involved, is working with the government and via democratic tools to return Jewish rights to the Mount. We have a lobby in the Israeli Knesset, we meet with religious and lay leaders across Israel. We set up booths around Israel to explain our position to the public, we bring groups to the Temple Mount within the police regulations. I myself have a good relation with the police as I bring up many groups every month, I am even becoming friendly with the Muslim guardians on the Mount. Our goal is to return Jewish rights to the Mount is a peaceful manner.

The bible is consistent in using 40 years as the measure of a generation.

Yes men and women married young and started their families.. They didn't live hundreds of years.

Life expectancy was around 40 years.. few people lived to be a great age of 85 or 90.

The great ages of some of the patriarchs is an early translation error. They used the counting system for counting sheaves of grain to calculate human years.

If YOU believe in God.. then you know that God created the rules of the universe... LIKE water runs downhill.

I am sorry your faith depends on epic and supernatural events... rather than study of the message. IMO.. the message is enough.

A generation is indeed that which is born from the average age of a woman giving birth in a society. The baby boomer generation was from 1945 to 1962, or 17 years. We don't talk about a baby boomer generation from 1945 to 1985! It's OK to admit you've made a mistake, Margot.

skeptic, could be that you're both right or BOTH wrong , it depends .

Margot is correct re calculation of a generation in Bible :

    ,

That the standard round number for a generation is 40 years is well attested. The "forty-year" period occurs about a dozen times in the Bible. It is the reason why some scholars do not accept the 480 years between the Exodus and Solomon's temple as found in 1Kings 6:1 to be a literal span of time. They see it as a schematic way of referring to a conventional 12 generations. I mention this to show the common consent to the idea of a generation as 40 years. Many of the lengths of rule of the Judges, along with the first three kings of Israel (including Solomon), reigned 40 years. However, as with Moses length of years, I believe they are all literal.

If anyone's got the patience to get their head around this , then good luck.

You are using the term differently.. A generation meaning from birth to childbearing age versus a generation being from birth to death.

References to 40 in the Bible.

Here's just two examples of how the term generation is used in the Bible..

    Numbers 32:13

And the LORD'S anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.

    Psalm 95: 10

    King James Bible

Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:

Neither of these say anything about a generation being 40 years. Do you have any thing else?

that is what i will do

What 'right' do you or any on this earth, to open up 'the temple' (Zion)?

Are YOU or anyone within the whole of your faith, mashiah?

If you 'believe' you have 'the rights' then discuss them. Let's assist with 'understanding' before you start 'war'.

    Then let's talk religion. (Torah)

    good

then DO NOT be a part of pursuing 'the mount' (the hill)

    Then get out of palestine.

That site is not the 'holy land' (read the Torah again)

there is no democratic capacity to enable such, there is only a religious methodology or foundation to that quest. (fact) Either way, it will require force (all cases) and will be wrong. (fact)

again, with ignorance to enable arms (police force)

No such thing as a peaceful 'return' or in reality take over of 'the hill'.

The concept you are pursuing is a false pretense.

There is only one who opens up shop (the house of knowledge). You know it in your heart and why 'the gate' is so important.

ie... what is it the mess is to bring? Tell this forum.

Is it magic? Miracles? Destruction? Judgment? A sword?

    knowledge?

    Tell this forum.

No. Nothing here indicates a generation is 40 years. Forty years was a judgement and a waiting period prior to judgement in these verses. Nothing is said about 40 being a generation.

You better stick to your Koran.

Most Christians accept the Bible references to a generation being 40 years..

It does however present a problem for the Dominionists.

It presents a problem for you also in that you cannot prove it by Scripture.

Scripture proves it over and over again.. Why do you think Revelation is written in the past tense in 90 AD. The Temple had already been destroyed 20 years earlier.

What part of Revelation are you alluding to?

Much of Revelation is present tense, as the apostle John was seeing it occur at that time. If there is some past tense observance it is the prophetic past. In other words its still future but as far as the prohet is concerned it is past to him. A done deal.
