We know the details on the jet but we won't tell, says US official

WASHINGTON - Hürriyet

U.S. officials know the details about a Turkish jet downed by Syria last month but have no intention of informing the press about them, according to U.S. State Department officials.

"Those in the American government who need to know [details] know them," the prominent official told daily Hürriyet during an interview. "But we will make no statements about the topics in question."

Declining to explain why a Pentagon official leaked rumors to the Wall Street Journal claiming that the jet was over Syrian waters when it was shot down, the unnamed official said the details mattered very little to the American government.

"Whether the jet was shot over Syrian territory or over international waters, or what it was shot with, what difference does it make? What matters to us is that it was downed, the official said.

"Turkey thought the louder its statements were, the more believable they would be," the official said. "I guess that was why the prime minister made those statements. It's like an American shouting to someone who doesn't speak English. We, however, will not say anything on the matter."

Turkey and U.S. are "90 percent" on the same page on the crisis in Syria, the official said, citing Turkey's "more interventionist" attitude as a possible difference between the countries' views.

What almost ALWAYS goes on.

Yet another false flag, to be used as a pretext to get ground forces into Syria. No doubt the NATO and UN have done this before. If there is no trace of explsives on the jet. Then it has to have been shot down by machine gun fire.

Except, 13 miles off the coast, that's about 21,000 metres away...you don't have quite that kinda of range with machine guns I'm afriad. Looks like yet another false flag blows up in their face.

And look at this, Obama's officials KNOW what happened, but don't want to INFORM us, because you see they get to make the decisions as to whether we stay in the dark or not.

Erm...if what they KNOW happened, is in line, what they TOLD us happened...then why not release the information?

It's so easy to expose, but, no doubt we'll have the chicken neck, sweater-wearing, TV watching, senseless eaters come in and tell me why I should believe the government that has lied through their teeth throughout history.

There are growing numbers of question marks surrounding last month’s downed Turkish plane as the prime minister admitted yesterday that all details from the incident were not yet known as Washington said it knew everything about the downing but was refusing to share the information with the media.

The sense of confusion was enhanced by an Air Force general who said the plane, which was downed June 22, might have been hit by a personally operated missile from a Syrian ship rather than a surface-to-air missile. At the same time, the military also altered the way it is has been describing the event, referring to the plane as the jet that “Syria claimed to have shot down” rather than the jet that “Syria shot down.”

“Once the wreckage of the jet is removed from the sea, [experts] will be able to determine if the aircraft was hit by a missile or an anti-aircraft weapon,” Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said during a meeting yesterday.

This story struck me as odd at the time and nothing I've heard explains a lot.

An advanced navigation system didn't tell the pilots they were in hostile airspace but can locate the aircraft within a few metres of it's actual position.

The Turkish F-4 Phantom jet was in syrian air space because it was shot down by Syrian anti-air artillery which only has a range of a few km, so it definitely wasn't a missile... The jet could've crashed due to flak maybe... Here's the actual video showing Syrian anti air artillery firing at the Turkish jet which is at a distance and can't be clearly seen.

Here's a Turkish source and report as well showing exactly where the Turkish jet crashed.. In syrian waters and the video above proves it was Ant Air Artillery that hit it... I think the jet was damaged with anti air gun and crashed later when it was heading back home. Another false flag operation, a provocation against Syria because Assad is growing outside the powers that be and supporting Iran.
