The economy has to slow down because inflation is too high.

The goal is to bring the growth rate to about 0.5-0.8%.

A small recession of 6 months would not hurt either.

The FED wants to bring inflation down to 2.5-3% within a year.

    Exactly, WS...
GOP votes have consequences; it's a shame that many still don't understand that...
GOP votes have consequences: an economic train wreck is one of them...
GOP votes have consequences = tanking our economy is one of them..
GOP votes have consequences; never good for the common folk!

The numbers on employment have been cooked for decades. They are virtually meaningless to me.

These kind of comment are too old and has no fact to back them up.

Truth is Democratic run state, congressional district are the wealthiest region in US. 70% US GDP are in Democratic District. 70% of Federal tax comes from Blue district.

After the Midterms, One Party Controls All the Wealthiest Congressional Districts (yahoo.com)
50 Wealthiest Congressional Districts in the US

Biden-voting counties equal 70% of America’s economy. What does this mean for the nation’s political-economic divide? (brookings.edu)

    Another Clinton-Trump divide: High-output America vs low-output America (brookings.edu)

Election 2020: Democratic counties represent 70% of U.S. GDP (cnbc.com)

America has two economies—and they’re diverging fast (brookings.edu)

Underlying these changes have been eye-popping shifts in economic performance. Democratic-voting districts have seen their GDP per seat grow by a third since 2008, from $35.7 billion to $48.5 billion a seat, whereas Republican districts saw their output slightly decline from $33.2 billion to $32.6 billion.

Thanks for pointing out that the Democrats are now the party of the elites..... something we have been pointing out repeatedly over the past few years. This is the explanation of California laws that benefit the elite and demolish everybody else. Democrats want a caste/feudal system..... because it is real good for GDP.... not so good for wealth inequality.

    Democrats provide this for you:

Democrats keep this for themselves and their donors:

I know you point out “ democrats are party of elite” , but you definitely don’t point out “ Democrats are the one who feeds America”.

Fact is 70% US GDP are from Democratic District which feeds America. Simple as that. Just NYC generated 8% Federal tax receipts in 2018. Most of these money goes to red state to keep the lights on.

Your picture are correct. No one said Democratic cities are perfect. That is why as a liberal we fight for income inequality and equal opportunity . there are lot needs to be done. At least we have no problem admitting these.

That would be the unemployment rate. But what the government says it is is whatever they want it to mean.

That's not the unemployment rate. Never has been. We don't, for example, include infants and retired folks in the unemployment rate. Nor should we. That would be dumber than a box of ****ing hammers.
