The American people have spoken, and Trump lost by over seven million votes.

All 50 states have spoken by certifying their election results.

The Electoral College which directly elects the President has spoken, and Biden won by a vote of 306 to 232.

Finally, the Senate Republican leadership has spoken when today Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell congratulated President-elect Biden and Senate colleague, Kamala Harris, on their victory.

The Times reports, "President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia congratulated Joseph R. Biden Jr. on Tuesday on having won the American presidential election."

The communist dictator of Russia has formally recognized President-elect Joe Biden! The White House has not!

The Republican leaders of the House, Kevin McCarthy and Steve Scalise have not recognized the President-elect. The majority of Republicans in the House plan to undermine the Constitutionally mandated Electoral College.

These Republicans and millions of Americans who voted for Trump, are cheering Trump's assault on our Constitution.

Putin could afford to recognize the President-elect.

Trump, Trump Republicans, and Trump's followers are doing the work for him. Trump's supporters are even paying Trump to assail our Constitution. Trump has raised over $200 million in the effort.

That is our shame. How in the world did we arrive at this point?

If he's not in prison, he will run (I would give each a 50-50 chance). And he might very well get the nomination. But that's it. People will have a better perspective than the one we have now, about just how incredibly lousy the mishandling of the pandemic was. And the slogan "Do you really want to go back to 2020?" will be devastating.

 

I wondered how the democrats were going to handle that. Someone is bad as long as he supports Trump, but suddenly becomes the good guy when he opposes Trump. Now the Russians are the good guys to be admired by the left for their honesty.

 

Not after they see the mess the democrats make.

The people will be openly begging Trump to come fix it.

 

Don't know why you think Putin's acknowledging reality means he's no longer supporting Trump.

Trump is a goldmine of secrets and on Jan 20 when Trump is looking for a retirement home without extradition treaties, Putn will be right there.

It is the shame of many repubs that they have thrown the Constitution under the bus to worship a man.
That is profoundly un American.
We fought a revolution to reject the rule of man over the rule of law.
If it goes any further, trump and his cult will be guilty of sedition, as many people have already noted, and should be held accountable for their crimes.
Congress should refuse to allow any senator or representative to be seated who refuses to acknowledge reality. The Constitution has provisions for dealing with exactly this sort of seditious behavior by members of Congress.
The trump cultists in government at any level are guilty of dereliction of duty. They need to go.
