It was the title of a (very biased) BBC documentary I watched last night about the increasing 'Islamophobia' in the US. There was a anti-Muslim demonstration outside of an Islamic centre for promoting better understanding of the faith, and during the course of the demo there were 2 confrontations with passersby: one of them was a person who approached the demo holding a sign on which was painted 'Refugees welcome here', and the other was a more vocal one, accusing the demonstrators of religious hatred. And no prize for guess which gender they were!!??
The United States of Hate. A United States of hate is NOT a country I want to see happen. I keep hoping, and sincerely want us to be, better than that. If hate comes to dominate our society, I hope we lose our leadership position in the world, and not regain it so long as hate predominates. The last thing this world needs is another self-serving nation filled with hate. That's definitely not a way to make America great again.
