There are times when Trump and some House Republicans can be quite amusing when it comes to the defense of Trump.

Take for example the recent report from Devin Nunes's House Intelligence Committee. Nunes is a Trump lackey. He was on Trump's transition team and some argue he never left it. He has sordid relations with the White House while acting as a liaison between the White House and the press. His committee barely scratched the surface of its investigation and rarely used its subpoena power. Nunes did not want to find evidence of collaboration between the Trump campaign and the Russians.

Though it found no collusion, the Republican report does fault the Trump campaign over several key events during the campaign. It states that at times the campaign "demonstrated poor judgment."

"We were honored. It was a great report," Trump said.

The same day Nunes released his flawed findings, the Russian Trump, Jr., Trump's son-in-law, and campaign manager met at Trump's home on June 9, 2016 admitted she is an agent for the Kremlin.

The lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, admitted, "I am a lawyer, and I am an informant. Since 2013, I have been actively communicating with the office of the Russian prosecutor general."

Those familiar with the meeting knew that Veselnitskaya and the three other Russians in the room with Trump's high ranking campaign officials were agents of the Kremlin. How did we know? Junior's friend, the one who arranged the meeting, one Rob Goldstone, told Junior they were operatives of the Russian government.

Goldstone's email said, "The Crown prosecutor of Russia met with his father Aras this morning and in their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father. This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump."

Nunes, in his rush to exonerate his master, evidently overlooked this key piece of evidence. It is quite clear that key members of Trump's campaign team were eager to collaborate with the Kremlin. "If it's what you say I love it," Junior said in a reply to Goldstone.

They met at Trump's home, Trump Tower. Trump played a key role in the ludicrous attempt to provide cover for the meeting. His son, son-in-law, and campaign manager attended the meeting with the four Russian agents. Trump's people are meeting with operatives of a hostile foreign power at his home.

Trump promised during a June 7, 2016, campaign appearance that he would soon give a speech outlining “all of the things that have taken place with the Clintons.” Trump’s remarks took place just hours after the Trump Tower meeting.

Trump is either very stupid or he knew about the meeting from the outset.

Tip O'Neal would be rolling over in his grave if he witnessed this monstrosity by the Republican party - the absolute desecration of the House Select Intelligence Committee, particularly by chair Devin Nunes who will no doubt go down in history as the worst ever chair of this committee. The worst Speaker of the House ever, Paul Ryan, actually allowed this travesty, it's no wonder he's getting out.

I'm pretty damn sure there will be a group of Republican reps who will wish they never signed this so called report.

-The house intelligence committee questions a gazillion witnesses, reads a ton of documents and exonerates Trump of collusion charges
-The intelligence agencies spy on Trump and his campaigns for 2 years and counting and have absolutely nothing to show for it
-Mueller and his 20 card carrying liberal "star" prosecutors spend a year and $50 million and have absolutely no evidence of collusion

Liberal hysteria, sour grapes and pathetic desperate attempts to keep the conspiracy theory going through November - priceless.

So 2 years of investigation and spying and not a single Trump associate has been accused of, let alone indicted on any Russia related charges.

Telling....Collusion is a dem conspiracy theory, isn't it?

Some might care that the President they voted for collaborated with the Russian government when they interfered in our election on Trump's behalf. Their problem is, they don't want to admit that they really screwed up.

The Senate committees are the only ones in Congress that count. The report from Nunes's House Intelligence Committee is a joke. His committee acted more like a defense counsel, than an investigating committee. The House wanted nothing to do with the evidence that the Trump campaign collaborated with the Russians. Nunes is a Trump sycophant.

The Senate committees have been investigating for 16 months, not two years. The Mueller investigation began less than a year ago. The Watergate scandal resulting in Nixon's unscheduled retirement lasted over two years.

The Senate committees and the Mueller probe have not reported their findings. We don't know what evidence they have regarding Russia and Trump. There is evidence that is public, a tiny piece of which I reported in the OP. It was totally ignored by you.

Flynn, Papadopulous, Gates, and Alex Van der Zwaan have pleaded guilty to Russian related charges and are cooperating with the Mueller probe. Van der Zwaan's father-in-law is Russian oligarch German Khan who is close to Putin.

And we are supposed to believe Trump is completely in the dark about all this. Trump is either very stupid or very guilty.

And that conclusion is based on his comments. "Just Out: House Intelligence Committee Report released. 'No evidence' that the Trump Campaign 'colluded, coordinated or conspired with Russia,'" Trump tweeted. :roflol:Jeez, he is funny sometimes.

Guilty of collaborating with the Russians. Guilty of conspiracy. I explained part of the reason for his guilt in the OP. I guess you didn't read it.

Trump is either very stupid or he knew about the meeting from the outset.

And that is just a small part of the evidence.

    Any questions?

Exactly , every Trumper with a brain in his head has known this all along, They didn't care, don't care and never will care. Trump is Making America Great Again, that excuses anything and everything.

Think that's hyperbole? conservatives are given to believing that God, Goodness and the Fate of the Universe hinges on their winning. In Watergate many of the members of CREEP were fond of saying that the reelection of Richard Nixon would determine the history of the world for the next 1000 years

The OPer does not even hint at any actual "crime" in anything he posted for anyone to be guilty of.

There is no CRIME in someone talking to a foreign agent of another country - none whatsoever. EVERY ambassador for every country is an agent of that country. Thus, certainly every president and nearly all members of Congress are "guilty" of talking to or meeting with "a foreign agent."

Democrats are doing a bizarre, radical warhawk ultra-rightwing Joseph McCarthy act claiming Russia is our enemy as a matter of law. Rather, as a matter of law, Russia is not an enemy whatsoever, nor has Russia ever been an enemy. We have never been at war with Russia. Our only experiences in wars we both were directly involved in, Russia and the USA have been allies.

There would be NOTHING illegal for Donald Trump's son to ask a Russian agent for any dirt on Hilary Clinton they have and to ask if Russia does have the Clinton emails since a Congressional investigation and the FBI wanted them, but Hilary claims to have successfully destroyed them. Exactly NOTHING of that would be illegal in any way - or even wrongful activity. What crime would that be? The criminal offense of: "Seeking the Truth to Make it Known" crime against a deliberate cover-up and obstruction of Justice by the Hilary Clinton staff?

Again, the OPer does not even assert anything anyone could be "guilty" of as there is NO offense committed in his story.

Quote anything in law, statute or government declaration formally declaring Russia is "a hostile power." You can't, and for that reason your message's core premise is just false - making the rest of your message pointless.

Hilary Clinton personally privately met with the Queen of England - who definitely qualifies as the "agent of a foreign country." Unlike Russia, we have been at war with Britain twice.

Not one time have I heard anyone suggest Hilary Clinton should be prosecuted for collaborating with a foreign government and communicating with a foreign agent.

You are, of course, referring to the November elections. It is only going to get worse for Trump and the Republicans.

What if Mueller produces an October Surprise?

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. You have no idea what our intell agencies have produced. Far more importantly, you have absolutely no idea what Mueller has.

Actually, public opinion is starting to roll the Republican's way on all this. Increasingly, people realize this is just a fake harassment of Trump and that the Democrats and Clintons did FAR worse that Trump is even accused of.

Remember, all this personal attack stuff was endlessly tried to be used against Trump prior to the election and it backfired.
