"The Walking Dead" - Does anybody else watch it?

they could completely leave out the zombie part, and just have the threats be "normal" people, after a collapse. Since that IS what such shows really are about, or I should say, why they have the level of appeal that they do. I think that islands could have plenty of action, if you have decent writers on the show. Pl;enty of enemies could make it out to the island. Zombies, as defined on this particular show, are nothing in the way of a threat, unless you're just too stupid/lazy to set up a rotating watch.

 

Meh, I think it would be boring without the zombies. It wouldn't be the same show!

 

I have never been able to get into this show, despite trying a few times. However, I've found myself recording the entire season for my college age son who is in Europe, studying abroad this semester. I guess he wants to binge watch this season when he comes home next month.

Got tired of receiving the texts reminding me to record the episodes. Would rather get the texts, "how's it going, Dad?" Just kidding.

 

It's awesome! One of my favorite shows and I don't even like zombies and blood and guts. Lol!

if you NEED the zombie part to stay interested, your imagination and general mentality rate "low". k I consider the characters stupid and lazy to EVER let the zombies be any more risk than say, mosquitos in a tropical country. Take the right precautions and it's a very minor risk. for instance, how do you LET noisy, stumbling CROWDs of them get you surrounded, for chrissakes?

Well the zombies do add an interesting element to the show. It would be more boring if it weren't for the zombies. It's just another added danger that the group has to face.

 

The zombies are what made the show successful in the beginning. Without that, you would just have a "Jericho" show and I doubt it would have taken off like it did.

The Zombies are what really keep the humans from establishing a civilized world. Withouth them, there would be no story.

 

I've never watched Game of Thrones. What channel is that on?

I might pick it up again later.
Game of Thrones, I saw it up to end of Season 2 i believe.

 

I watched 3 seasons and at a certain moment I thought that it's highly monotonous, but same realisation of idea is very good, but for example character of black-ninja girl is weird and far-fetched a bit and generally there is no logic sometimes.

 

I got to be a zombie in Z Nation. I was the zombie in episode three who got chopped off at the knees by the Liberty Bell. Terrible show.

 

Since that was a character from the comic book, it kind of makes comic book sense, but yes it seems odd in a TV show.

 

Yes I watch it, and game of thrones. In fact you could say I'm a fan of the scifi genre.

 

I od'd on the marathon leading up to the new season. Yeah, In watch TWD but really, its pretty much the same thing with every episode.

After you've smashed a few thousand walkers' head, there's not much to say.

A complaint that I have is how much is completely impossible. Will Daryl ever run out of arrows? With the others run out of bullets and guns? How about gas?

Oh well, its escapism and I'll be there next Sunday. Besides, TV is just SO bad --

 

Nah - don't watch that stuff. But "Fargo" starts up again tonite.

 

Daryl recovers his arrows when he can. Plus, they are readily available at most Sporting Goods stores. The gas is a bit more of an issue. I think the timeline of the show it's what, Z day plus 2 years? Gas should have started to go bad, although I think diesel should still be good.

 

I'm waiting for them to find some government people who go: No, we have no plans to take you and your on your own we moved the government to Hawaii after we retook it and other defensible locations and are working to maintain the human society. We just came in to get some artworks and rare items and we will be returning to our aircraft carrier to return to base. But we wish you luck.

Oh and gas without additives will go bad in a year, ethanol and some other fuels would be possible replacements.
