I found it disturbing to be honest, and I had about as much interest in watching stuff like that as I do the "Saw" movies which I have never seen and never will. Quite honestly I think negan was terribly cast, he does horrible things but he (JDM) acts like a TV repair man turned bad guy, doesn't even fill out the outfit, not scary, not physically imposing, they could have done much better with casting him and i'd feel differently.

I will admit he's slightly less annoying and slightly more believable than in the first couple of appearances, but if I see him look up at the ski and do the knee bend thing while looking up at the sky i'll shoot him myself.

It is disturbing, but I'm over it now. There have been many "unassuming" appearing psychopaths in real life. It is actually more realistic because in reality, psychopaths can be charming and funny, etc.

not going to argue, I assume Ted Bundy would fall into that category.

my criticism was more towards the fact that I felt Jeffrey Morgan was poorly cast, not scary enough of a figure given the situation and the fact that he's generally unarmed except for the stupid bat.

I'm a big fan of post apocalyptic movies and books, SM Stirlings Emberverse is a fine example, The Postman, Swan Song, the stand. Movies like I am Legend, escape from new york, mad max, the matrix as well. Even if the antagonist is "civilized", they are still generally a physically/mentally imposing character, and I just don't think JDM is pulling it off well. He does all the right bad things, he follows the script and says his lines, but as I said before he reminds me of a copy paper salesman turned bad guy. The baddest bad dude should at least fill out his clothes so it doesn't look like he needs to hit the gym.

Anyway, last episode was decent enough, I'm not a fan of the junkyard group, the leader is someone i'm having difficulty connecting to and it feels like rich/mich brought back more guns than the group has people yet they want twice that amount? I'm willing to be patient and see how it develops, i'll be happy when they figure out a way to address the saviors problem and then we can move on from there. ya ya, i'll keep watching.

LOL, I hate the fact people with skills are considered so worthless in this post-apocalyptic world. Instead, the capacity for heartlessness, violence and loyalty is valued above all else. Doctors are killed while guys like Dwight become trusted lieutenants. Seems backwards to me.

Maybe he was a salesman before the apocalypse. These are just everyday people who turned into what they are out of desperation and the will to survive. Might even drive some people to insanity. *shrugs* I imagine a lot of people wouldn't remain sane in such a scenario. It would be too much for them.

I don't like the goriness either, but I just do something else while those parts are on. I still think it's a pretty good show (especially compared to most other shows), so I am going to keep watching it. We should keep in mind too that this show is based on a comic, so it's bound to be a bit over the top at times. :)

Some of the psychos are very personable and convincing. Im 2 episodes into season 6 now.

Sucks because I will probably be caught up long before the next season of Game of Thrones starts up.

Exactly. What's scary about them is that you can't pick them out of a crowd.

You are planning on doing some binge watching or something? :D

I know, their "seasons" are not very long though are they? Every time, I'm like, its over already?

Yeah though he's pretty good with a bow staff. After all he went through with his family I can see why.

I liked his apartment with all the guns.

Yeah and the characters aren't as good. I might watch the second season.

Glenn died in WD last night. :blushes:

That was pretty brutal. You are going to get so aggravated with Rick when he goes through his wimpy phase.

If you haven't watched it, I might suggest Banshee as a time killer, I really enjoyed that one.... watched it twice. I've also watched the wire twice now. Jessica Jones was "ok" but nothing spectacular.

I have several other series lined up but just haven't been able to work up the energy to start something new.

I watched 1.5 seasons of FTWD, and it didn't do it for me so I quit on it....

Pretty sure the comic book says he's a Gym teacher, which I feel like that's how a gym teacher would run an apocalypse.

Remember TWD started off very slow the first few seasons.

I'm assuming their doing the same thing in FTWD.

The difference is that by the end of season two of the Walking Dead, you cared about the characters. I would be more than happy for the entire cast of FTWD to get bitten and become infected.

I loved Banshee. You need to be ok with, sometimes over the top, violence though.

Lol! Imagine if he was a drill sergeant? Yikes!

I've actually never read the comics.
