The cause of the LIA was a drop in Solar activity. If we truly were warming because of the end of the LIA then solar activity would be going up. It's not. Try again.

I agree. The solar minimum along with an increased frequency of La Nina events are canceling out the warming effects of the increased CO2. Without the CO2 we'd be cooling. Not warming slowly like we are now.

 

Certainly a reasonable hypothesis, when you explain it that way. Is it your hypothesis then that what are undoubtedly the highest 17 years of CO2 emissions in the HISTORY of humankind, this greenhouse gas effect of this trace atmospheric gas, and the temperature change we can't find, but expected from 0.03% of atmospheric content to 0.04% atmospheric content was….stolen by Martians? Hidden from us by the powers that be? Overwhelmed by the even larger cooling cycle so visible in the observed data? (As opposed to folks modeling..whatever)

I know! From like 0.03% to 0.04%!

Why? Increasing temperatures in the past have increased CO2 levels…what is wrong with the same thing happening this time? Certainly I agree that people are helping things along, I mean, can you just imagine the MAGNITUDE of that 0.03% to 0.04% change? It is….mind boggling!! Unless, of course, you compare those levels to PAST levels of CO2, like when it was much HIGHER than this. And that didn't require any new source either…just the same old planet…doing the same old thing.

Funny about that coincidence, isn't it? The common thing in all this changing and ups and downs and coolings and warnings and CO2 decreases and CO2 increases is…the planet….doing whatever it is the planet does.

Other than all those OTHER places that CO2 comes from with increases in temperature. Like it has in the past. The irony abounds, doesn't it?

The atmosphere would only be cooling if it had no thermal inertia and was at equilibrium temperature. We dont know what the equilibrium temperature is for the present solar output. Put a pot of water on a stove at high, then 2 minutes later turn it down 3 to 7. It keeps warming.

 

No, they are all, "it's got to be here somewhere right?" Since previous predictions based solely on computer models and inadequate data and have all been wrong. Don't expect the new ones to be much better. Garbage in/Garbage out, or in the case of current 'consensus' science, Gospel in/Gospel out.

By that I mean burning down houses and confiscating property to grow trees for carbon credits?
