What you don't deserve is to be able to disenfranchise all the rest of us because of where you live. I do agree that it's probably a good idea to limit the vote to those with blood/sweat/tears in the soil (as per indigenous peoples), but I would still allow the propertied welfare recipient the vote. They may be on disability or age pensions, or have a period of unemployment.

Open Borders is the policy that turned the USA from a backwater and howling wilderness into the world's most prosperous and powerful nation as well as the premier home of freedom and most desirable country to live in that has ever existed. Conservatives want to turn it back into the kind of dystopia we have escaped from all to satisfy the narrow bigotry of a shortsighted minority who doesn't respect or even know their own history.

 

Open Borders means immigration without the kind of restrictions we have now. Ellis Island and other places existed so as to not permit people who had contagious diseases or were wanted criminals, nor smugglers.
