An AR-15 is many things but a hunting rifle is not one of them, that is unless you happen to be hunting humans and children.

It does matter if you want to be consistent in your reasoning. You say we are sick because we defend the right of people to own semi-automatic rifles. Well, I say you are just as sick if you defend the right of people to own pistols. Both weapons have been used to murder dozens of innocent people in mass shootings, so why do you hate semi-auto rifles but not semi-auto pistols?

 

Most soldiers and Marines are very conservative about spraying ammunition downrange if for no other reason they know who has to carry that ammunition to the point of use.

In Iraq and Afghanistan you could tell where the US troops and bad guys were by the sound. US troops fire as little as they need to and then go quiet (listening for the bad guys). The bad guys sprayed and prayed then whooped and hollered if they survived. Thus the bad guys are easy to locate and engage or avoid where the US troops are very stealthy.

there is no functional difference between a semi auto handgun and a semi auto rifle. You keep contradicting yourself in your posts. your arguments are self defeating. Because it's a strawman. The guy did not use a handgun, he used an AR-15. I know for a fact that I could not take my handgun and my shotguns and shoot as many shots as someone with an AR-15. This kid was not military trained. He simply brought out an AR-15 and killed tons of children with it. How are you incapable of understanding this simple point?

 

It doesn't have to be a "sharpshooter", any amateur can slay people in close quarters with a pistol, as PROVEN by the Virginia Tech shooter who killed 32 people with a couple of pistols.
