As an aside, I agree that our healthcare system in this country is disgusting — we have some of the highest instance of medical errors and pay the most only to endure what you mentioned above. We need a fix. What we have now is not working.

They should call ICE. Its called reporting crime. It's not a bad thing to kick illegals out.. no matter how much you want to paint it as hateful it's not.. it's called the rule of law..

 

Not a single person has ever said they want people to die in the street.

What we do say is stop illegal immigration and deport them as we find them and let their own country pay for them.

OK, we both know we're not going to deport millions of people. That's just not going to happen. So what do we do with the 15 million or so who are living here illegally? Are hospitals expected to do immigration status checks before they administer life-saving care? That's absurd, right? Of course it is. Hospitals will continue to treat everyone regardless of immigration status, and we're going to continue to spend money on people here illegally (i.e., "free health for illegals, oh noes!!1!!1")

I work all day with cops, firefighters, and EMT's and they are there just in case. If your wife works in an Emergency room with no police or security protection nearby, she should ask why or change professions. Bad things can and do happen in that environment.
