No matter if you believe or not, this song and this girl, blew me away. I hope it does you too. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foUrBztgzZA"]Jackie Evancho Video - To Believe with Lyrics HD - YouTube[/ame]
Yeah, I just had crawl back to my desk. The act of being blown away placed me on the other side of the room. Absolutely amazing.

[Surprisingly] I do enjoy Amazing Grace in instrumentals. I do not know more than a couple of the lyrics though. The last time my cousin had played it was at my aunts funeral, I almost broke down while he was playing while I was recording..... he starts playing Amazing Grace at 1:55..... I wish people would have been a little more quiet for the acoustic pieces. Meh. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PtuU12yD-M"]Cristobol - Amazing Grace - YouTube[/ame]
There is always hope, however you should not mistake it for some sort of adherence to one particular religion. I want to learn Amazing Grace on the piano..... I am so terrible at finger picking, I am not sure about the guitar just yet.
thats OK, I was just like you about "jesus freaks". I don't know how I taught myself finger picking, I play delta blues, and it requires it, but I don't really remember setting out to learn it.
I can do some, I remember two years ago I was going to play guitar for an intermission for a play. I reach into my pockets, realize my guitar picks were in the car. I finger picked through it alright (My Immortal by Evanescence, A and C#m), I was surprised it wasn't a complete train wreck. However, that is picking one note at a time.... it is the picking multiple notes at a time that throws me off quick. A Perfect Circle's 3 Libras would be a good example. Simple musically, but I have such difficulties with it.
it may just be a mental block. I had trouble with sweep picking, before i threw in the towel on it. I was totally good with music theory, but speed hampered me. I use to love to play jazz, and paginni, but that was many years ago. I'm just acoustic blues now. its more fun for me now.
Yes. . .I guess English being my SECOND language does show when I use FRENCH words in English. Thanks for the "constructive criticism!" (I think!. . ) I guess this sweet child has not softened your mood for today? SMILE! I'm sure most people here can understand what I say even with the MAJOR mistake between Superb and Superbe!
Sweep picking..... that is tied in with shredding? Yeah, thats a bit above my skill level. The hardest song I know is Tool's Vicarious..... I used to be a little better but I took a very ill reasoned six month break that seriously (*)(*)(*)(*)ed me over. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUXBCdt5IPg"]Tool - Vicarious - YouTube[/ame]
I wouldn't have believed that was her real voice if I hadn't seen her on other programs. Jackie Evancho is truly amazing.
it amazes me that tool, is still going. I remember them from years ago. I sounded more like slash (GnR), but I probably couldn't play like that now, if my life depended on it. Priorities change.
That sort of thing is what confirms my pro-life views and makes my heart ache for love of God. The sheer pathos of that expression is ineffable.
Lucky you! I saw them live a couple of years ago and I trust that they're still as mind-blowingly good as they used to be back then. And this song for Maynards dead mother will never fail to give me goosepimps: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHIiQbTizPg&feature=related"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHIiQbTizPg&feature=related[/ame] [ame="http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-HRa06KVA4&feature=related"]http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-HRa06KVA4&feature=related[/ame]
It was absolutely amazing. Not my video, I was in row 19 on the floor. All of my video and audio is horrible..... meh. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXkiHFI6lvI"]Lateralus - Tool - Tingley Coliseum, Albuquerque, NM [Live] - YouTube[/ame] I shed a tear during the first refrain.
