    I think the kid should be proud to say the POA

    If not then he has been gettiing bad advice of the adults in his life

    But as a minimum I think he should show some respect for others by at least standing quietly while they say the Pledge

    Thats just common courtesy

    Upholding Constitutional rights is the DUTY of every American citizen.

    To FAIL to uphold individual rights DISRESPECTS everything that America stands for.

    You're still overlooking the kid's rebellious attitude. Maybe both should be sent to a class about how to follow rules because I know he didn't know about some 1943 rule, most people don't and most just found out about it because of this story.

    Standing for the Pledge isn't blind obedience. Being told by your head master that God wants him to rape you is worlds different than being told to stand for 20 seconds.
