As was previously stated. The notion of "desirability" is largely vague and open to individual interpretation.

I agree but that is changing because women now have status themselves. One of the problems in our society is that women like their equals or better while men like their equals or less.Men are more threatened by powerful women.
I was making speeches and getting several thousand dollars and someone actually asked my husband if it bothered him. He laughed and said yeah really upsets me that she brings home all that money LOL he was being sarcastic needless to say

Still no effort at addressing how the so-called "me too" movement is not truly empowering female members of the species. Or how anyone in this current day and age is still being directly affected by standards that were in place centuries ago but not in play in the modern era, such as the legality of marital rape and the illegality of abortion.

the me too movement has made men aware that grabbing oussies and inappropriate touching will not be tolerated. For years women were neve
Believed . I was a victim of sexual assault and it wasn’t in my realm of reality to report it. And it wasn’t that long agor

Why were they apparently not aware of such before the so-called "me too" movement came into being? Or were they aware and simply did not care, just as is the case with so many who choose to engage in the use of illicit narcotic substances, despite the federal prohibitions on such?

Considering how many accusers of Brett Kavanaugh later admitted that they falsified their accounts and how they were not actually victimized, or even had contact with him, perhaps there is good reason for that. Every falsified accusation of sexual assault just serves to make things worse for the true victims who must deal with the aftermath of other female individuals who decided to engage in deceit for their own benefit, either to "get back" at a partner out of spite, or to attempt to exert hush money. Every false accusation just serves to undermine their own credibility, and lends greater credence to the belief that it is acceptable to write them off without so much as a second thought.

And as one who has been in such a position before, the appropriate response on the part of yourself should be outrage by how the so-called "me too" movement is doing its cause more harm than good.

first of all tell me about all those victims of Cavanaugh who said they lied. What did Dr. Ford get from that? And now you ask about the me too movement and it shows you have absolutely no understanding of sexual assault. We were aware but we were not believed the same way you don’t believe Ford.
One in four women has been sexually assaulted but I doubt it one man in a thousand has been falsely accused. One in six women have been raped. What’ the me too movement has done is bring women together to share their experiences so we know we are not alone. As I said when I was sexually assaulted I would not dream of reporting it. Today I would and women certainly would believe me because most of us have had these experiences. To you the movement is causing more harm than good but as a woman it is succeeding. In my workshops men now asked me how do I compliment t a woman? Can I touch a woman? Etc. this is new and the best thing is women are sharing their experiences and we know we know we are not alone How would you feel if a man grabbed your penis? How would you feel if a man kissed you on the mouth? How would you feel if no on believed you? How would you feel if they asked what you were wearing?

I believe you may be meeting the wrong women, from what I can tell it's a combination of physical appearance and personality, as well as confidence. Maybe you mean Girls?

She wanted to get Trump, but she failed. The world of politics is a disgusting gamefield of viciousness, corruption and careerism.

Not a very friendly place to be at all.

I was positive to the initiative at first, but think it took a wrong turn when it was glorified and kidnapped by forces of self-interest such as media and public figures who were out to revenge people they did not like.

Quite sadly, the establishment are such a sad bunch of invertebrates that #MeToo proved to be just a trend no one is talking about anymore because it has stopped to be cool - They never care about the victims and they should be shunned for gloating themselves in others sorrow to get time in the spotlight.

I am genuinely curious to know how the study that concluded that defines "sexual assault" because the number seems rather inflated.

There is no way that number can be true...

Has it though? From what I can tell, no one is even talking about #MeToo anymore.

What? She only did it because she wanted to get Trump? Over a dozen women have come forward saying that Trump sexually assaulted them and nothing happened so why would she put her self in such a situation? But of course women are all liars so she wasn’t assaulted by kavanaugh ..you. Then you Wonder why women don’t report sexual crimes. After she came out with her story millions of women shared their stories
How do you know that people are not talking about the me too movement. How dare you say that we reported and shared ours stories with each other just to be cool. Wow you really don’t understand what women experience. You have reduced us to liars who just share our stories to be cool. Yeah real cool.By the way the numbers are not inflated at all. What is so sad is that you think they are ..if anything they are under estimated because women like myself and my daughter did not report it.
This reminds me of consciousness raising in the 70s when men like you said the same crap and changes happened at astronomical speed. What is interesting is that you think the numbers can’t be true...it just shows how sheltered you are. I remember sitting in my school cafeteria with other teachers and I asked how many had been sexually assaulted. There were six of us three of us have been sexually assaulted and one had been raped and that is not unique.

No one is talking about the Me too movement to you...you’re not part of it. But it is being taken seriously because men are now thinking twice before they put their hands on women without asking etc.

I certainly do not grope and assault women and the conversations that I have with them are not about rape.

It is just as sick as it sounds. Most normal people cannot comprehend how someone could lie about something like that solely for power, but the world of politics is a filthy mess.

And all of them have been politically motivated. It is quite obvious since all of them kept shut for years and all of a sudden, when Trump was elected POTUS, all of them opened up almost simultaneously. If that isn't fishy, I don't know what is.

Furthermore, neither Cavanaugh nor Trump have been proven guilty of any of the accusations. However, that garbage pile named Weinstein was and I am not sure why you did not mention him here since he was - basically - the catalyst for the whole me-too-hashtag.

Not at all. I actually believe every woman who says she was sexually assaulted and am a strong proponent of much stricter punishments for such crimes.

I never wondered that. The Government Police is highly insufficient and rather incompetent when it comes to solving crimes and the Goverment Legislators and Courts are useless at their job too.

I have two ears, two eyes and reading skills in more than one language.

I said that the people who went after Kavanaugh and Trump were clearly taking advantage of a great cause to serve their own political interests. We had similar people here in my country. I never said that you lied about anything.

That is not at all what I said and you know it.

I do not trust statistics because it is a very dubious tool prone to manipulation and distortion. I do not need numbers and fancy charts to be convinced sexual crimes is a problem, I have a functioning moral compass and follow the news. It is indeed terrible no matter how high or low the statistics are.

Yeah, in positions of power, professions that requires degrees and bring status tend to attract the most predatory of men and it is not a surprise that is mostly women in Hollywood, politics, media and other high-status fields that seem to be most likely to be victims of this henious crime.

The source does not define "sexual violence" though.

This is not true. Still being in my 20's and single (loser altert), I do spend time at pubs and clubs from time to time and there is not one single evening where I have not seen a woman talking to the bouncers. Sometimes even with tears in their eyes. I have spoken to the bouncers too and they told me that it happens every single night.

    Sadly.

I find the only time that I "go without" is when I don't recognize women's rights.

Of course you can find a girlfriend.

    But

-- decades of male bashing taught most women and many men to see all men as monsters; anyone is likely to treat men with prejudice and disrespect

-- if she assaults you, then you will be arrested and prosecuted as the Primary Aggressor

-- if she accuses you of Sexual Misconduct, then you will be presumed guilty

If it's not true that women tend to chose men with status then explain why rockstars have groupies and not garbage men.

what power did she expect to get? You’re a of man who doesn’t believe women and then you wonder why women don’t report their assaults? Many years ago i used to accompany rape victims to court and watched how they were violated again by the laws. Thank goodness the laws have changed...and the changes didn’t happen in a vacuum
Gee , what a surprise you don’t believe stats....of course women lie about sexual assaults
So you think sexual assault isn’t violence? Oh it’s just play, right? So you believe trump and of course all those women are liars...even though he brags that he grabs them against their will by their crotches.
I wonder how you would feel if some man grabbed you by the balls against your will and I just laughed and said you’re just saying that because you have a secret agenda. I wonder how you would feel if some man kissed you on the mouth and then braghe’d to everybody that you wanted it..
The fact that you would have to ask why those women didn’t report it before shows how little you understand and I am wasting my time explaining. It took a movement for women to realize that they weren’t powerless and that men better start behaving. Or do you think men are just suddenly aware that grabbing crotches or touching women against their will just became not ok? Sadly, you don’t get it and that’s why there is a me too movement that you will notice that it’s men who don’t like it....but that’s too bad

Perhaps the matter is not "gotten" because there is no effort being made at actually explaining the matter in a detailed manner that would allow for it to actually be understood. So many are simply content to claim that they have been victims, without explaining the circumstances that forced them to nothing more than helpless victims unable to do anything but suffer in silence, unable to tell anyone, even their own friends.

wE WEREVICTIMS!! First we were victims of sexual assault and then we were victims of not being believed. But if you notice we are not victimized as much because of a movement. Men are thinking twice about sexual assaults but then there are men who use the “I am the victim now” .You are very logical here but totally lacking the psychological aspect. I wonder if you blame battered women
