The Judge disassembled him. 5 months+ in prison plus a 120k fine. He's now a felon.

Upon hearing this, dramatic Smollet replied he did not kill himself in prison, lol highly dramatic.

 

If anyone is interested, go to the end where the judge addresses Smollett before sentencing him. It’s a bit lengthy, but worth it.
