This TDS thing

Is just rubbish. It seems that some people here will use it as some sort of force field and universal impregnable repulsion of any criticism made of Donald.

So....I want to introduce a new one......TDSO. Maybe TDSCO. Any other suggestions?

 

I tried to get Trumphobia to catch on, but alas, TDS became popular.

 

TDS is a silly term that just refers to very opinionated people reaching to the stratosphere to pin nonsense on their political opposition.

I consistently called out the right's version of TDS when they were calling Obama literally Stalin. I do the same when the lefts version call Trump literally Hitler.

We've all got to remember that the vast majority of people have good intentions in mind. That's why I was hesitant to accuse you of lying earlier despite very clsar evidence you were.

We've all got to get along in the end

 

TDS is an ironic term to describe obsessives, I pretty much thought every got that from it.

 

Trump derangement syndrome is for people who can hardly take a sip of coffee without screaming eff trump before and after. Sadly it seeems to be a condition infecting most of the DOJ.

 

No, TDS is the default line for Trumpsters who don't have an argument and just want to deny the latest set of facts. That's all it ever was. Name calling.

But it does signal to the person accused that the accuser does not have a valid point and wants to avoid discussing the facts at hand.

And yet the therapists community actually recognizes the condition.

 

Actually TDS is a very efficient way to identify a sufferer who demands their liberal memes and the Progressive talking points fed to them should be accepted as undeniable fact not open to debate. And they attack anyone who tries. Lost on them is the fact they are making such claims on a debate site which was created for the purpose of doing just that.

Ironically, symptomatic of this condition is the propensity of the sufferer of TDS to call someone names while claiming that's all the person they are attacking does. i.e. Trumpsters are guilty of name calling.....

As for me being a right wing nut job, I would seem so to some, but it's mainly because this is an anonymous forum and I enjoy testing out avenues of debate here instead of real life.

More than anything I just want political sovereignty in small communities where radical democracy can flourish. I am, in fact, on what used to be the left in 1789 lols. The old agrarian left.

Plus it's easy to get caught up in mud slinging on such a partisan.platform.

 

While it's true that we do all have to get along in the end, I can't agree that the vast majority of people have good intentions in mind. I don't mean to say they don't think believe they do, but that what they tell themselves simply isn't so. Character is only a legitimate quality when it comes paired with and equal level of personal responsibility, and people raised to believe that their feeling are caused by others and they can't control them never have that. They tell themselves what they want to hear and can always blame someone else- and they can rationalize and support despicable behavior in the process, because their reaction is not their fault either, it is caused by the same someone else.

TDS describes a behavioral syndrome not of Trump supporters as the left sometimes claims, but of those on the left who are in a state of mental disarray, irrational, even virtually dysfunctional as a result of not getting what they expected. If you think that sounds like the description of a spoiled child- you are right

We have been raising a large percentage of our children on this basis since the 60's. When behavioral symptoms of loose parental mindset increased, we labeled them mental issues instead of behavioral ones, told the children they wasn't responsible for their own behavior and drugged hell out of them. They grew up, had kids and transferred the same weakness to them- and the problems grow.

Now as adults, they simply do not understand the scope and concept of personal responsibility, that each of us is responsible for ourselves in every way- for what we do, for what we think, for what we say, for what we feel. TDS is a syndrome of children who have never matured to understand that, and thus do not have the power over their own minds that makes the difference mentally between children and adults. That means they do not have power over their own lives- and Trump is hardly the cause of that, nor the cure for it.

There are professional views on the "TDS" thing from psychologists who have actually been called on to help people so disabled by the thought of Trump being president that they seek professional help. More of them in that condition should seek help, because it is a mental abberation and self-induced with the aid of things like the wave of hatred out of the MSM. One could say that in part, this is anger over their own mistake- and doing anything, believing anything in order to dodge the responsibility for it.

Being so ****-sure of yourself that you publicly laugh at a candidate, ridicule them and crow about victory before it is in hand- is putting your own reputation on the line, so to speak; and then having Trump win.... thereby making you appear a fool; especially to yourself. This is a core transgression- one they can't escape with any facade People don't like being wrong, and especially not being shown up as fools. Who's to blame? For these people, it must be Trump of course. If that SOB had just done what he was supposed to and lost, they would be strutting and crowing today... Trump cheated them. He must be inherently evil, the anti-christ to them.

Some provided their students with therapy dogs, coloring books, Play-Doh, and videos of playful kittens and puppies, as well as serving snacks such as tea and chocolate. Some college administrators encouraged or allowed faculty to cancel or postpone exams because of the election results. I never read a report where the administration told students to man-up and quit whining; I doubt that even happened. These moldable minds were told they were righteous victims and needed support and understanding.... for not being able to function on the level of an independent adult.

Sadly, you can't just point this out to them and tell them to grow up or act their chronological age. Mentally- they are acting their age, and they have no concept of why that isn't adult behavior. They simply were not given the proper fundamental values to be independent adults.

Sort of an extreme case of sour grapes, expressed in the same form as a small child having a tantrum and feeling it is fully justified because he didn't get what he wanted.
