The gorilla one IS offensive (sorry, I did not scroll down far enough to see that one). None of the others were IMO.

I don't give a crap who banned it, but whatever. You lost the argument, so time to twist and warp the discussion into something else.

People who win arguments definitely resort to declaring that their opponents have lost. Congratulations!

I believe Aunt Jemima had a pretty successful life. Maybe that is what has the lefts panties in knots!

I suppose you are one that thinks morals are better taught by a public school system than Mom and Dad.

LOL! Lefty solution to "racism" is more "racism". Makes one question if their idea of "racism" is real.

Why they'd change that but not the big, curved penis is beyond me. What? I can't be the only person who sees it.

Because she had a scarf tied around her head, you feel she was 'portrayed that way'? Are scarves now racist too?

Did you forget the convo? I said nothing about a scarf.

Let's see 'she was portrayed that way'. There was a smiling face of a woman wearing a head scarf on a box of mix and a bottle of syrup.

Did you forget the subject matter?

    Well, we've made progress.

So what do you call your Dad's brother or sister, or your Mom's brother of sister? Is it used respectfully, or is it said with a divisive snear?

If you gotta hate I can't stop you. If you can only get through life by finding fault with everyone and every thing I sorrow for you. If you insist on seeing evil in everything you will increasing find it difficult to see good in anything.

I'm not sure who that's directed at. Maybe you quoted the wrong person?

That's not the context of the usage as far as Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben were concerened. Imagine going to a restaurant where all the white employees are refered to as "mister" or "miss," while all of the black employees are called "aunt" or "uncle." That's the history and the context. I totally understand if you don't find any offense in that. I don't either, but I'm not from the marginalized group of which some members have said it is offensive. When folks in that group say they are offended, I'm willing to listen. I guess the companies that own those brands are willing to listen, too.

Nope. If you're nit picking the muppets and Dr. Seuss most of whose characters are scarcely even human and not intended to be, you have fallen into the identity politics abyss, and it goes no where good. Identity politics was evil in Nazi Germany, it was evil in Aparthied South Africa, it was evil in the days of Jim Crow and it is evil now, and it will always be evil. It doesn't matter who is in the cat bird seat. It is still evil.

Please note the only people talking real offense at most that are woke white kids. And please note in most cultures aunts and uncles are honored figures.
I'm well aware of that. The real problem with woke idiots us that the idea of people being different offends them. They're all closet Maoists and want to destroy everything right now the serve the Pelosi's and Schumer's of this worked as useful tools but they better be damn careful because just like Hitler's SA one day their usefulness will end...

That's pretty extreme, absolutist language. It seems like some nuance is being missed or deliberately overlooked.

How did you quantify the number of people taking "real offense?" Is there some polling data about it?
