Maybe these voters don't like the fact that federal regulations have reduced them to being moochers.

Or people who spout Romney's 47% nonsense are just wrong?

My explanation is no more ignorant than the explanation in response #3.

Probably more like biased sampling. We're talking about Kentucky, here.

There isn't nearly enough information there, but it's interesting that those counties went to Romeny by a much higher percentage than the state as a whole did.

If I were to hazard a guess I'd say it has to do with the government aid thing including social security. Really when people talk "moochers" or whatever that should be seperated out from other programs like food stamps. While it looks like the baby boomers will take much more than they put into the program due to improved medical treatments keeping them around longer, I don't believe that to be the case for previous generations.

Certainly on an individual level it's easy to be a in a situation you've put in much more than they're going to give you, especially with the reforms they've been pushing on later generations to ensure the baby boomers get the goodies they voted themselves. I don't think it's fair to call somebody a moocher if the government gives you $50,000 after they've taken just taken $100,000. That also goes for certian tax credits and so on.

I doubt Romeny meant to indicate such individuals in his off the cuff remark.

There's a strong possibility that the stupid hillbillies that populate those red state hell holes just hate black people.

yeah dude, you surely showing the GOP u arent the party of handouts. i heard Detroit is demanding their payment for voting for Obama, you better go get a job so you can pay for that.

well no (*)(*)(*)(*), but are there any stories about people in those 3 counties demanding handouts??? whats the business life like in those areas, what is their main source of income as far as jobs???

are we dealing with counties that have a large job market and the people are just lazy, or are the remote hillbilly areas where there aint much more than a mom and pop store???

no matter, Obama and his following demand you get a job so you can pay for their healthcare, cellphones, hair and nail appointments, 22in wheels, and EBT cards so they can buy their steak and lobster. better get moving and do it, unless of course you are gonna jump on the gravy train and try to get your Obama Money's ;)

Kentucky is one of the most socially conservative states. It isn't unlikely that these counties were heavily conservative to begin with. It'd be like citing a few rich counties in Massachusetts as 'proof' rich people support Obama. It's a selective sample and proves nothing, except that rich people in a certain county in MA support Obama.

Somebody snuck a camera into a fundraiser where it looks like he was speaking off the cuff to some of his doners.

I don't think we know who it was that set up the camera. Based on how it was set up and turned on people guess that it was likely a waiter/server at the event.
