This event with the 2005 massive riots which could have turned into a civil war are events which deeply left a mark on the french people. Those events with the rest of the suicide attack marks too the end of the illusion of the "living-togheter" and show that french as an united people is dead. There is just a bunch of population coexisting until it will explode. Soon or later. I'm just surprized there were no other terrorists attack of this size despite the exceptionnal work of french police which prevented many projects of the same kind. Most french people know that it will happens, Manuel Valls, a former french prime ministers declared that french people had to get "used to" terrorist attacks. The former minister of police, Gérard Collombs, resigned a few month ago, and his departure speech suggested that France could know some civil war soon.
