What 6 years do you think he lead the league ? You are talking about a mass conspiracy but continue to go to only one example ...
Considering Welker didnt lead the league any single year in receiving yards how has he lead the league over those 6 years? http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/receiving/sort/receivingYards/year/2007
I love the guy, hes a great friend of mine, and if he ever did come back and play, Id welcome him with open arms. Tom Brady on Randy Moss, Sept. 6, 2011
I see that I have messed with your drunk white fan " they play the best , don't they" world-view........don't be upset........ I've done it to a good many DFWs..........now don't forget to come back and tell me why the NFL only drafts about 23 percent white players when the best team in the league for the past decade has been the very white Patriots........since you know sooooo much about football I'm sure you can explain it. Also, drop me a line about these "systems" and why it's only "deceptively fast, lunch pail carrying" white WRs who get to play in them........Calvin is still crying out "why can't we have a system like Wes?"
When was the last time the Patriots won a Superbowl? Also I noticed you don't want to answer the question about the last quarterback who was a 1st round draft pick and threw for minus 1 yard in a football game.
How many teams have gone to more Superbowls in recent memory? And I thought we had agreed to not look at "small sample stats" like one quarter of a preseason game. Geno Smiff will be given five years to "develop" with his upside potential and room brightening smile
Well, there appears to be at least one team that wants Tebow as a quarterback. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/09/14/russian-football-team-trying-to-lure-tim-tebow/ Tim Tebow cant find work in the NFL, but theres an American football team in Russia that says it will offer him $1 million for two games. Yes, there are American football teams in Russia. Mikhail Zaltsman, the owner of one of those teams, the Moscow Black Storm, told the state-owned Russia Beyond the Headlines that he wants Tebow. Zaltsman believes that if Tebow shows up in time to play in the semifinal of the American Football Championship of Russia on September 28, Tebow can lead the team to a victory in the semifinal (against the Moscow Patriots) and then win again in the championship game. Zaltsman claims he personally spoke with Tebow, offered him more money than he would have made for playing a full season for the New England Patriots, and that Tebow wants to do it. We have offered him $1 million for two games, Zaltsman told Russia Beyond the Headlines. I talked with him personally and he wanted to go. Unfortunately, according to Zaltsman, Tebows agents are strongly urging him not to play, and as a result, Tebow is unlikely to participate in the American Football Championship of Russia. But who knows? Maybe that $1 million payday will be enough to lure Tebow, and maybe Tebow will lead the Black Storm to the title. Robert Kraft would probably warn Tebow of one thing: If he wins an American Football Championship of Russia ring, he shouldnt let Vladimir Putin try it on.
Gone to or won, which is all that matters. LOL, I guess you can't find another that has pulled that feat off. How long is Blaine Gabbert going to be given before Jacksonville figures out he is a bust.
The Patriots are no more or less "white" than any other team in the league. Provide some sort of evidence that they suit up significantly more white players than any other squad. Since you're apparently too stupid to figure this out ... Welker played at Texas Tech in college, which basically ran a variation of the run and shoot offense. 5 linemen, 1 QB, 5 receivers, pass every down. He put up big numbers in college; however, pretty much every receiver who plays in that offense puts up big numbers in college. It's an offense that simply doesn't work in the pros because of clock issues and the fact that NFL defenses are fast enough to bury that sort of offense. So, Welker was generally overlooked as a product of the system. Now, is that because he's white? I would posit that it's because he's 5-foot-9 and 190 pounds, which is ridiculously small for an NFL player, especially a receiver these days. The Chargers and Dolphins didn't seem to think too much of him either, since the Chargers cut him and Miami traded him to New England for basically nothing. What other "deceptively fast, lunch pail carrying" white receivers are you talking about? Brandon Stokeley? Ricky Proehl? The list ain't very long. Eric Decker of the Broncos, white as can be, certainly doesn't fit into that category. He's not deceptively fast, he's just FAST. The scouts were obviously wrong about Welker. Scouting, especially for football, is not an exact science. History is littered with many guys who dominated in college who did jack squat in the NFL, and guys who washed out with one pro team only to find success with another. For NFL coaches and personnel evaluators, there is ONE goal -- winning. To insist that these guys are going to put racial concerns ahead of talent when one bad season can see them out of a job is the height of absurdity. Your trashing on Calvin Johnson (who, by the way, set the NFL receiving yardage record last year) is just stupid. Calvin Johnson is clearly the best wide receiver in the league. Using the results of one game as "evidence" that Welker is somehow better than Johnson is moronic by any standard. It shows a complete lack of knowledge of the game, of sample sizes, of how the Lions and Broncos run their respective offenses, of how the Lions and Broncos' respective week one games actually went, and numerous other factors (double coverage on Johnson every single play, for one). And while the Patriots have been the "best team in the league for a decade," who won the Super Bowl last year? Not the apparently lily-white Patriots. How about the year before that, or the year before that, or the year before that, or every year since the 2004 season?
1. Geno "Smiff"? I see what you're doing there. Cute. 2. There is no way Geno SMITH (you racist puke) gets FIVE YEARS to develop unless he actually produces results. Name me one black quarterback that sucked after five years and still had his first NFL job.
So Welker, at 5'9/190 was "too small" for NFL scouts.......but Tevon Austin, at 5'8/174 is "big enough" to be the 8th overall pick........dude, it's the melanin content that's important......but, nice try......LMAO......I wonder if Tayvon has ever been referred to as a "system receiver" or "deceptively fast"..........and I think you would be the "racist puke" since you support and defend an obviously racist institution like the NFL.....just sayin'
Oh......and I forgot....Welker must have been blessed with that same "system" throughout his career. Do you know how many TDs he had in his highschool "system"?.................90.......no, that's not a typo.....I've already e-mailed my local highschool coach to implement this "system" so that all of our "deceptively fast, lunch pail carrying" white players can become future HOFers......LOL......I sure hope Peyton Manning is aware of this "system" so Wes can have another great year......meanwhile Mr. 37 yard "best receiver in the league" is screaming at Matthew Stafford "why can't we have a damn system too"
Linsanity was still way better than Tebowmania, both in terms of on court/field production and as a compelling story. Off topic, but I needed to get that out there. That is all.
Right, Lin is still a starting point guard in the NBA. He's better, his run was better, his story was better. Yeah, I might be a biased Knick fan, but what I say is the truth.
Linsanity was great fun............I wonder if Kobie Thinks all those Chinese who never followed basketball before are "racist pukes" for suddenly becoming basketball fans and cheering on their brotha......just askin'
Apparently you are right since Welker had to back into a last minute ride at a Texas Tech.....when another player became ineligible........I wonder what all these colleges use to evaluate highschool talent since no one cares about highschool stats.......melanin content?
I am wondering what excuse the NFL will come up with to prevent Johnny Football from becoming the next great dual threat QB in the league........will they go with the Eric Crouch/Matt Jones move him to WR route.......or the Tim Tebow "he can't throw a pass" route. Either way it will be fun to watch......
Actually I am trying to show Levon one of the reasons out of many why Tebow is not a NFL quarterback. Come to think of it can you name another 1st round draft pick who threw for -1 yards in a game.
