I think it's way past time for ALL Presidents to undergo psychological testing every two years. Think if Reagan had been in office for a few more years - thinking back, he was showing the early signs of Dementia before he left office.

Only way to find out for sure is to have an evaluation done. I wasn't kidding about having this done for ALL Presidents and Trump is at that age.

And I want to see Trumps Tax Returns. That said -
I think Obama should have had an evaluation every two years and so should every President - including Trump. What are you afraid of?

If something warrants that kind of test I'd support it. But Trump seems as mentally sound and sane as it gets it would be a waste of taxpayer dollars. The fiscal conservative in me condemns wasted federal dollars.

But it's really convenient for you want to test for Obama after he already left office. You understand why the credibility of that kind of statement is suspect.

I've felt this way after learning that Reagan had the early stages if dementia while in office. Given Trumps risk factors - age and weight - he is more suspect.

How about having actually demented people in the courts and congress like Ginsberg, Maxine Waters, and Pelosi undergo testing?

Yeah but Obama couldn't even get into college without lying and saying that he's a foreign exchange student from Africa. What kind of grades could a guy like that possibly get? Why weren't you this curious about Obama's intellectual capabilities when he was in office and demand his college transcripts?

Don't worry about Trump he has flawless German genetics.

He needs to fail first. The Republicans had to let him win the primaries for fear of public revolt.
    That fear is still there.
His failure to resurrect the coal industry, his failure to get the "wall" built, and certainly for Mexico to pay for it, his failure to "solve" Syria in a year, all these things will need to be plain to the working people so they do not feel they have been cheated by the establishment.

I understand the part that follows this...about not wanting to spend money.

But surely you are kidding when you wrote that Trump "seems as mentally sound and sane as it gets."

That is just a joke on your part, right?

I think Daniel has a good idea here.

People who tend the ICBM silo's...are subject to regular exams. Doesn't it make sense to exam the guy who can order them to fire those missles?

I haven't seen any evidence suggesting anything other than he's a mentally sound man with a fearless and altruistic heart.

I'm sure you heard the news that he gave up his first quarter salary right? What a guy! Did Obama give up his salary? No no he didn't Did He. That greedy Chicago thug sucked the taxpayers of every single penny he could manage to.

Should not the evaluations have happened during the campaign for both Clinton and Trump?
To request so after one side wins appears partisan.

Please. Stop with the "roses growing from his ass," speech. Having his wife stay in NY will cost taxpayers about 24 million extra this year. Obama moved hi sfamily to DC. Your post is BS.

At that point, they weren't public servants, so it would be a breach of civil rights.

    1. Pilots aren't surrounded by hordes of people as "checks and balances" while doing their day to day job alone in the cockpit; the POTUS is, moreover, a pilot with modern technology has far more destructive power in their hands unilaterally than the POTUS, who has to rely on people carrying out orders, not just pushing a button, The POTUS is not beholden to perform under superhuman levels of environmental stress in the way pilots are, bad analogy. 2. No we should not have mandatory assessments. Such would be too easily abused politically regardless of what side, and especially by our allies and enemies both. One of the necessary illusions of maintaining the legitimacy of the government over the governed, as Democrats have consistently practiced historically (FDR, JFK, LBJ... your test would have disqualified all three of those, still want it?) is that the head of state is at least healthy enough to do their job. Moreover, there would be no way to factor out cognitive and political bias in the evaluators, who would be overwhelmingly LW as the "edu" and especially social unsciences branch of the Complex tend to be. 3. You'd have to convince a large part of the population that psychology is an actual science with defined, measurable results outside of psychiatric drugs used on the flagrantly insane, and you'd have a -very- tough time doing that because of its -dismal- track record of success and results (just like economics and other edu fabricated "sciences").

Want to know who is more likely deranged, demented or personality disordered? any adult with an IQ over 85 who has watched, with an objective eye, the coverage of Donald Trump in the big three TV, CNN, 90% of large newspapers, 90% of large magazines, etc., and has the -gall- (or mental defect more accurately) to argue with a straight face that Trump's claims of media bias are founded in "paranoia."

So...a guy who claims to be worth $10 billion...gave up $75,000.

That is like a guy worth $100,000 giving up $75. (Math is not my strong suit...somebody check this.)

Wow...that Trump is really a big spender.

But the puppets are fooled...and that is what is important.

Come on man Barron needs to finish school. You don't want him to be traumatically ripped out of school in the middle of the year like that do you? I know Obama ripped out his children from school right in the middle of it when he moved to the White House. He had no regard for the well-being of his children. I also never really saw Obama with Michelle very often. And oftentimes they took separate planes when they traveled.

And I rarely if ever saw Obama playing with his children. He seemed like a bad father overall. And it seems like there was a really rocky relationship between him and Michelle. I'm glad that Donald and Melania Trump are model parents who are doing what's best for their youngest son.

For the first two years you guys will just whine and whine, and the last 2 years of his term you guys will be championing some other corrupt official.

    Great day to be Republican
