Time to ban shotguns?

So this latest school shooter kid used a shotgun instead of an "assault rifle" as the left likes to call them. His body count was comparable to or higher than most school shootings with carbines that the left wants to ban. I'm curious what you guys think now. Time to ban shotguns too?

 

a 12 gage shot gun with say # 4 buck pellets are more deadly at short range then a ar 15 5.56 round that will go stright threw most of the time at short point blank range go to video time 3:20 shooting a table top
look at the wider pattern using #4 buck much better then 00 buck

In England, many criminals have abandoned guns in favor of knives- that by nature are silent and attract less attention. Response in England?

I'm waiting for the day when I see a post from GC advocates that asks for control of people with high risk of violence, which at present we don't place on the gun registry because of medical privacy rules. So many of the school shooters left a trail of warning signs that an idiot could read- and nobody, including the FBI, does anything until it's too late.
How can such an obvious answer to reducing the problem be so ignored by so many who have the responsibility and authority to protect people?

Those on the left are in a bind here. As you proved shotguns are more deadly than carbines in this type of shooting so the anti gun people are going to have to come out of the closet and say yes ban shotguns or they will have to **** about carbines. It's kind of a tough call for them.

 

The problem with liberals and their useful idiots is they just want to do something to make them feel good when someone uses a gun to kill. They don't want common sense solutions that can be measured. They like slogans and demonstrations. And too often they are against the death penalty for the gun toting criminal who mowed down the innocent people.

death penally fast after the fact say no more then a week since they have no doughts the suspect did it. would help and detour a lot of the future shooters, since now they talk to the reporters after being caught and are made like a celebrity and are having fame for the next year or so they spend in prision

No one expects there to be a 'total' end to killings with guns. There are a few people that think an average of one mass shooting a week for 2018 is perhaps a few too many.

 

you might just see a shift in the use of shotguns after this incident verses the ar 15 , if a school room door is locked a 12 gage can blow the lock off easily with one shot a 5.56 will take a 5 shots and then still might not do it

Didn't prove a thing. You will never have a way of knowing how many would have been killed with an AR-15 in the same time frame. The shotgun could well be the reason there were more injured than killed. As to your question: No.

 

I think the shotgun did most if not all of the killing and I have to wonder where all the cries from the left are to ban shotguns. Why carbines and not shotguns? Where is the consistency?

 

So is your point shotguns are not as efficient at killing as carbines and that's why you want carbines banned but not shotguns?
