I commend you for coming back from bankruptcy. That's a hard one. We never went bankrupt but I had about 30K in student loans (those triple if you don't pay on time lol) and found out I owed 15K in back taxes. Never did my taxes for a couple of years cause I always got money back--was an education to a naive me, that when you make more money you owe and if you don't do your taxes the government will do it for you and they give you no breaks. That was in the late 90's and I always tell my kids---that you CAN go from F credit to A credit in a few years. There is always hope. My kids are smarter then we were though...They aren't near the mess me and my husband were.

Funny thing is we paid that debt just after I quit my job, lost half our income and I stayed home.

The government is the corporations and vice versa. Pretending otherwise these days is silly.

agree, Corporations are so big, they really are in control anymore, they buy the laws

but soon they will not need the labor force they have today, it will be interesting what happens at that point

I really think though that the rich are concerned with the lesser folks overconsuming resources as they think that is going to effect them and their standard of living

it's a catch 22, planned obsolescence makes lots of money, but wastes natural resources

Most obsolescence isn't planned. The dominant force in this world is entropy. Every thing including you and me wears out eventually.

I think it's planned, thing used to be built to last, the more you paid, the longer

now don't matter what you pay, they last about the same, you just may get some additional "features"

Imagine that, a woman wanting to be a woman and the progressives having a cow over it.

That sound more like an argument for you get what you pay for. Betty Crocker used to make a four bowl mixing set. A big yellow bowl a some what smaller green one a still smaller red one and the smallest a blue one. I still have 3 of the four. The red one is missing. Once in a while you can still find the set at a thrift store they seem always to be missing the red one. Planned obsolescence or something about the geometry of that particular size of ceramic mixing bowl makes it more fragile than the others. The ones I have I inherited from my mother and they are older than I am. Out of a million model T's there are probably less than a hundred still in operation. Model A's about the same sort of numbers.

I don't think so. It started a few years ago on social media and became quite viral for a while. It was the women that gave themselves the term. One thing to keep in mind with the "trad wife" movement, at least what I saw on TikTok, is they demanded high value men in return for their traditional wife duties. Many wanted men with incredibly high incomes and to live fairly luxurious lifestyles. That was kind of the battle ground in the comments. They did not want to be a trad wife to a middle income 60K a year, redneck. I think if they did there would not be such a uproar about it. Some people viewed them as gold diggers.

Exactly. They do not want to be a trad wife and live on a farm, cook, clean and look after kids. If that is what they wanted they would not have gone viral. They wanted wealthy professionals that could give them high end lifestyles. They want to live in large homes, travel, have designer things, etc... That is what the issue was. No one would care if they wanted to be a trad wife like so many mothers in the past. These are the Beverly Hills trad wives.

They are all over TikTok. Just search for the tag "trad wife". There videos have an only fans flavor to them. They have pretty high standards though. Goodluck.

Maybe you should go to the source on TikTok and see for yourself. You may have a whole new view of the term.
