ALWAYS! Republicans are excoriated in the media as Tom Delay has been over the last decade. So many of them are trumped up charges as they were with Gingrich & Scooter Libby. Only trouble for them know is where do they go to get their reputation back?

Unfortunately the major media outlets only gave the appeal decision a fraction of the attention that they gave the original conviction. It is very difficult to get your reputation back. Once an accusation is made people will retain doubt, even if the courts made a decision in their favor. This uphill battle is even harder when the media gives a lot of coverage to the accusation and very little coverage to the final outcome.

If you are a part of "the club", when you are convicted and sentenced to prison, you don't go to prison like everyone else. No, your sentence is placed "on hold" until the jury's decision can be overturned by some of your friends' friends in the appellete court. The people just can't get one of these scumbags to pay, they are too well connected.
