Tomi Lahren’s tweet pic of Kaepernick. Good taste or bad? I approve.

Lol...Everyone who died defending the US was fighting for everyone's right to kneel for the anthem without some jackbooted intolerant thug trying to attack them for it.
Your notion of patriotism is steeped in ignorance since you don't even know what people who fight for this country are actually defending.
    Educate yourself.

It's a great photoshop because it doesn't take a side. It can represent those with honor and those without.

They fought for the right of ignorant jackass to take a knee and for the right of patriotic Americans to call those ignorant jackasses out on it.

Freedom of speech is to encourage a dialectic. Calling Kapernick and ignorant jackass with NDP is part of that dialectic.

I have never studied labor law, so I can't make any specific criticisms of the NFL contract.

But in the spirit of the 14th amendment, if it makes each state obey the federal constitution regarding Bill of Rights issues and rights, it seems it would also effectively extend to employers. If not, then it would be OK for employers to flog or torture employees. Notwithstanding legitimate safety concerns overseen by OSHA and insurance companies, it seems by some logic the employer can treat the employee like a slave.

No, but it sure as hell never existed in my lifetime.

That's not what I am arguing. I am arguing there is no systemic oppression here in the first place. Maybe there was, like, 60 years ago but those days are over.

There are injustices in the world.
There are injustices in the U.S.
Black people are murdering other black people in record numbers. Why this is whitey's fault is yet to be explained to me.

The federal courts just basically ruled that that is exactly the case(Zeke Elliot) for the NFL.

The Bill of Rights discuss the powers afforded to the governments. It does not extend to employers.
Clearly you have never studied labor law by your ridiculous comparison of employers restricting free speech as being the same as employers flogging employees and/or treating them like slaves.

Fact is there are things employers can do and things they cannot do. They cannot discriminate. They cannot create unsafe conditions. They cannot flog. But sorry, they can fire employees for restricted types of speech.

The federal courts pretty much said Goodell can suspend anyone for any reason. He used this authority to screw Brady and then used it to screw Elliott. I think the players will want to change this in the next CBA, but they're stuck with it until then.

Stop running around like a chick with its head cut off. Nobody has physically attacked Kaepernick. There are no "jackbooted thugs" coming after him. Kaepernick has been criticized, and rightfully so.

Sorry not sorry: Free speech works both ways. The men that fought and died for his right to kneel also fought and died for my right to criticize him.

Well... it could change right now(the policy Zeke was suspended under(the domestic violence part) was not voted on at all. Was just added. The question is will they make the changes.... my 8-ball says not likely.

Edit: they could use article 46 to suspend every one of the players that are protesting. But they won’t.

Well, the NFL is an unusual situation. The players don't work for the NFL, they work for the teams. The teams form the league. Goodell can't fire anyone, but he can suspend. Teams can fire.

Goodell has apparently decided it is not in the league's best interest to suspend or punish kneelers. Individual teams, however, are certainly free to do so if they want.

Yes I do. You must be one of those people that mindlessly follows the liberal media, which never reports it (or never publicizes it) when that happens, but there was a prominent case in Minnesota earlier this year. There were also several other cases but if you aren't going to follow the news, I can't do it for you.

Of course, your comment has virtually nothing to do what the point I made.
