Too many lies, too much incompetence.

The latest Newspoll indicates federal Labor is not quarantined from the electoral disaster that beset the Queensland Labor government.

The Newspoll in The Australian on Tuesday has shown federal Labor's primary support has dropped three percentage points to 28 per cent in the past two weeks - just one point above the 26.9 per cent figure the party reached in its devastating loss in Queensland.

With Labor's support falling away, the coalition's primary vote has climbed four points to 47 per cent - about three percentage points short of the vote the Queensland Liberal National Party achieved in its victory over Anna Bligh's government last Saturday.

The Tony Abbott-led coalition also extended its two-party-preferred lead over Labor to 57 per cent to 43 per cent. Two weeks ago the Coalition led Labor by 53 per cent to 47 per cent.

The Australian said Labor's primary vote slide represented the first time its vote has fallen below 30 per cent since October after reaching a record low of 26 per cent in mid-September.

"If the latest Newspoll results were reflected on election day, Labor would be trounced, with its primary vote now 10 percentage points below the support it attracted in the 2010 election, in which it failed to secure a majority of seats in the House of Representatives," the paper said.

There was a glimmer of good news for Labor - voter satisfaction for Prime Minister Julia Gillard improved from 28 per cent to 31 per cent, with dissatisfaction easing from 62 per cent to 58 per cent.

Mr Abbott's voter satisfaction remained steady at 32 per cent as did voter dissatisfaction at 58 per cent.
And who would make the better prime minister - 40 per cent said Ms Gillard and 37 per cent opted for Mr Abbott, with 23 per cent uncommitted.

    ===============================================

Ordinary working Australians deserve a political voice. The "Shower in Power" aren`t providing this in the remotest sense. We need honesty, and competant performance from government, these clowns have no idea on either. I`ve wondered for a while now, if they actually believe their own spin & lies, I think they might

The ALP is rotten to the core. Ownership of the ALP by the meglomaniacial unions has been a marriage made in hell. Unions today, effectively perform only one function, to profit from conflict between the employer, and the employee, all else is window dressing. Unions, like religion, should be seperate from State, neither should have such a disproportionate amount of political power.

The time has come for workers to demand to be taken seriously, to no longer tolerate being treated with contempt.

Federal Labor will be shown the door big time at the next election. As the NSW and QLD elections have shown people will not put up with liers who also make very major changes without first taking them to an election.

Its nice to see some people can see beyond the square, and have to agree that was well written Aussie…

When My parents retire and I took over the business many moons ago, the Labor Union thugs and megalomaniacs came banging at the door thinking I might be an easy touch.

Yes, I agree from the Unions I have encountered, their only motive is to profit from the conflict between the employer and the employees; as I experienced this first hand in my first year running the family business.

We always had a good working relationship with the staff dating back for decades without a strike or any trouble until one particular Union trouble maker came calling.

It finally got to the stage whereby we gave them an ultimatum to either negotiate fairly, or we had no option but to close the doors putting 40 people out of work.

After a general meeting and explaining the staff what the Union was trying to do - screw us over and them, they all agreed that the Union had put forward claims to us that they did not want or authorise.

We won a very nice out of court settlement with that.

There is not one staff member working for us that belongs to a Union. LOL

If Craig Emerson last night on Q&A is anything to go by, then yes, the lab-rats have learnt nothing after Saturdays flogging in the State election and are still in denial, coupled with being a bunch of megalomaniacs that believe their own spin and lies.

I seriously hope Labor politicians never get into a position of power again, for the sake of Australians.

God help Australia if we only had men like you in it. Now tell us about this "So called Settlement", if the union just came and made offers and your staff refused, which is their right, it is a free country, then I cannot see how you would get a
, unless that too is like your
    and fictitious.

By the way, I have never been a member of a union, nor have I ever voted labor, nor green. I always was a lib until I realised how much they wanted to screw me.

...two centuries back at the beginning of the industrialization workers had to work for 14hours, 7 days a week. Children in coal mines too.
We own the Unions a lot. On the other hand, I agree they sometimes have lost the sight and problems of modern times and stand up for goals and values, I find hard to comprehend.
They need to modernize, I think. Like the church....
But voting for Libs/Nationals? never ever....They will bring us back to where the Western World started 200 years back, if you only let them.

It seems bad but Labor won't be smashed the same way as in Queensland for the simple reason that they can rely on Greens preferences whereas in Queensland preferencing is not mandatory.

What "lie" are you talking about?

Labor went to the last election with a policy to price carbon. A majority of Australians voted for them and other parties with similar policies to price carbon. We now have a carbon price.

Are you still complaining because the liars you voted for lost? Get over it dude. We have had enough lies about children overboard and WMDs in Iraq and "non-core promises" last time those liars had a go.

Thanks for that CD. It`s plain that our governmental, judicial, and bureaucratic systems need fixing, As you can see lazy political opinion, based on class snobbery and envy, is one of the gerater weaknesses of our society. Parasitic unions have made it their business, to make a business of exploiting simple folk. An ALP / union owned government, consists of people who have never built, maintained, or repaired anything in their entire lives. To vote for a union lawyer, is identical to leaving the leeches in charge of the blood bank.

Mandatory preferancing forces people to vote for people they don`t want. These grubs know how to capitalise on mandatory voting, but couldn`t run a lemonade stand, class act.

Howard would have been a one term PM without mandatory preferencing.

I don't see how they are in any position to say that Labor are grubs.

Fuuny how you completely back away from your claim and go to the same baseless rhetoric when I put out that your side isn't as clean as you think they are.

I love how you have to use petty insults to attack Gillard because you lack actually evidence of bad governance.

It does not mean a side has been taken...It simply means they hate Gillard either as a person, or a politician. LOL

Hey, Gary, you are onto the trip hammer mentality, I see. Using the trip hammer mentality, if a person doesn`t appreciate shia muslim terrorists, they have to be a sunni muslim. To some, the world only has room for two ideas. LMBO
